I think you've got 4... (sorry)0

Kez - sorry i can't help. i've never used metalics and know nothing about them. good luck though.
- that's a very good idea. if you did still have the spreadsheet it would be very helpful - i'm ok with forms and charts once i get my head around them, but not great at setting them up. (most januarys i start a spreadsheet of all money in and all money out. i usually forget it by around easter but by then it's served its purpose of getting me back on track after xmas. so i could maybe add the relevant columns from yours and that would be a great reason to keep it up.)
Elliep - good idea. i dont think you're mum is mean charging interest, it's one less thing for there to be upsets about i guess. I'm glad the heating is on your say so now. frozen fingers? when i was a poor student i remember sitting and reading wearing old man fingerless gloves!
Ruth - those photos are stunning! i meant the shop in Derbyshire.Relax, Breathe, Love 2014 Challenges:Cross Stitch Cafe Challenger 23. Frugal Living Challenger. No buying cleaning products. I used MSE advice to reduce my car insurance from 550 to 325!! & paid it off in full!!!0 -
:j finished!! :j
i've finished my little card sampler! well a few days of feeling down has had a good impact on my stitching.
From CrossStitcher 232, but due to my very limited stash it's not on the 'right' blue aida or with the 'right' DMC colours, but i like it a lot. the somewhat randomly placed scroll bits of backstitch were a bit of a challenge!
it was going to be a card for my parents, but i'm keeping it!i'm going to make it up into a little framed picture. it's in keeping with the little Scarecrow sampler, so now i think i'll have to do one for spring and summer as well.
So, that means i've done my December challenge already! :j I had better make the parents a card though, so i'll add that, once i've decided what to stitch...Relax, Breathe, Love 2014 Challenges:Cross Stitch Cafe Challenger 23. Had a productive couple of days. H2b has been on nights so have stitched for about four hours a night the last two days, 17 days left to finish the wedding sampler is achievable. Working today until midnight which means early to bed tomorrow, then working Friday till midnight but no plans for the weekend so loads of stitching time :-)
My 'red crockery' sampler arrived yesterday so will either do that next or the LOVE cushion. Can't decide which though!Married 19th May 2011 to the love of my lifeCross Stitch Cafe Member Number 44CSC Challenge - to complete LEGS by end of December

Thanks. The shop in Bakewell is very easy to find. The town itself isn't huge & the shop is right in the middle of the town. You'll like it-it's a lovely shop filled with lots of gorgeous stitching!

Hope you manage to get it finished in time.
Didn't know you'd bought the red crockery . Can't wait until you start that one i love it.
Chicky Hello to baby noah . My son and his gf are expecting a boy on the 1 st march they were hoping for a girl as he has 2 boys already but as he says as long as it's ok that's the main thing .
I knit too i taught myself 30 years ago when i was having my 1st son. I've knitted all kinds of things since but hadn't knitted anything for a few years until last week when my grandaughter announced her dolly mary needed a coat . So i bought some wool and did these .
Love the robin and can see why you wanted to keep it.
Not used metallic thread like that so don't know how many strands sorry.Cross Stitch Challenge Member Number 20
New challenge finish birth sampler by end of the month
No matter how much life knocks you down, it's your ability to get back up, brush yourself off and face your next set of challenges that makes you stronger0 -
23rdspiral. Love the card sampler, very sweet.
Bella. I love your Wedding sampler!
Kez. I wish I could help you but I have never used metallic thread. Though if I was in your position I would only use 1 strand because I fold the thread in half to make 2 strands before threading it through the needle.:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -

I think you ladies might be right on the strands, so will try for 2 on the next one.0
