  • Sorry to hear the sad news that people have been having over the last week or so, my great uncle also died last Sunday, he'd been poorly for a while, so it was a relief to some extent, but still very sad.

Well the snow has arrived here and is slowly melting, just as well as I'm supposed to be going to the school winter ball tonight and the thought of being 39 weeks pregnant and on crutches trying to navigate the snow is not filling me with joy, and that assumes I don't go into labour before as I started getting twinges last night, which thankfully came to nothing.

I've got a far bit of stitching done in the last week or so, I need to post an update photo, but keep forgetting - will try and do it in the next half and hour as I have the house to myself for a few hours as DH and DS are out in the snow at DS's friends house so won't be back for a while. Lots of bright white light ideal for photos. I'll be getting on with my sock roses, as more floral tape has now arrived, for the rest of the morning so they will be ready to put together once my friends baby puts in an appearance.

Best get on with the washing up so I have time to do everything else.

Hi guys, thanks for the kind wishes, Jenny(my dog) is doing ok, some days are worse than others, like yesterday she struggled to stand up out of bed, but today she got up without issue. It snowed here too and once jenny made it outside she was loving the snow, she got a bit cold so is now snuggled in bed :)

I hope everyone who has snow enjoys it this time, not like last time :rotfl: Happy stitching if you are staying in and happy snowball fights if you are going out ;)

Snow here now as well. My DD's were having fun, then dd1 came in. Upstairs we heard a big thump and dd1 crying saying she felt sick, she had fainted. So today is about lots of attention and hugs for dd whose a bit shakin up.:(

No cross stitch since tues and the shop still doesn't have my aida. I should have ordered it off the internet I would have had it days ago but I thought I would give a local trader a chance. Hopefully on monday it will be in or I'll just get it off t'net. Have just discovered also that I can't order off sewandso as they dont accept my card:mad: Why can these websites not accept paypal aswell?

Poor DD :( Hope she's ok!

What sort of card do you have? Have you rung them to speak to them, they will probably let you post them a cheque. It will delay your order, but at least you will get it! They might even let you do a bank transfer... Just an idea :)

  • Download Kindle (from Amazon) and get one of their freebie books!

You can get it for PC, MAC, Ipod/phone or android :)

Or see if you can find an Audible trial and download an audio book :)

:jYay managed to get to Harrogate after all - ds still not at his best but dh had re-arranged his shifts so I could go and he insisted (besides it meant he gets left off the hook for Crimbo pressies as I usually pick up a couple of things for me!)

Had a good mooch around and got lots of ideas but didn't actually buy that much tbh - a small chart and another cars kit to do for ds, a button doll kit to do for dd and a cross stitch cupcake kit for dd to do as one of her crimbo pressies. Was really very restrained all things considered especially as they were really trying to flog sewing machines before the VAT goes up and they were really tempting
