Friday night and was supposed to be planning route to Harrogate for tomorrows stitching show but ds is poorly (cold, not eating much, being sick and poopy
) so trip in snow looking less and less likely tbh.
Was going to slog away at school work tonight so could relax tomorrow but am now tempted to stitch tonight in case I don't get my girly day tomorrow or do school work anyway as if he isn't better he will just need constant cuddles tomorrow - waaaaahMortgage £119,533 going down slowly

This was it on the 18th of Oct when I dragged it kicking and screaming from UFOland (or was that fuss maybe me...:o) :rotfl:where it had been dumped in 2006
Completed this afternoon - it's huge, dunno when I will get it framed :
Chuffed to bits.:D:beer: Next challenge isn't a biggie, just doing coasters between now and Xmas, and need to find/design a suitable wedding sampler.

Yup it was me, and they were very tight - I did the first one which didn't really fit, but looked OK with the blanket stitch, then I chose the green fern which didn't matter so much. I've just done my third one, and I have to confess I used a 16ct from my stash instead of the 14ct supplied. Very frustrating. Its the second month in a row that the kit has been substandard quality and is rapidly makin me consider stopping my subscription. We'll see what they come up with this month...
Thanks Ab for the details, I think i'll email the magazine. i can let them know it isnt just me. the one i stitched is on the photo and there's a gap all round so they've definately messed up.sweetcarer wrote: »Did you find out anything?
bother. i forgot to look in the spare room. so sorry sweetcarer. i'll look on sunday at the latest. it really does ring a strong bell. i'm sorta starting to pack for moving (fingers tightly crossed), so things arent quite where they should be. sorry again.Relax, Breathe, Love 2014 Challenges:Cross Stitch Cafe Challenger 23. hi everyone. no stitcing done by me, have had a really aweful week. you know i told you about a friends funeral, 39 and dropped with a heart attack? well, after his wake a very dear friend had a very serious fall down some stairs / over a bannister and has been in a coma in hospital with a cracked skull, cranial bleeding and damage to both eyes. he's had an operation to remove a blood clot and reduce swelling. I now know the meaning of being sick with worry.
i'm sorry to hear about your dog Elle, and hope for the best for yours NMM. A friends dog had bad arthritis and the pills werent' working well, so they took her back for an Xray... turns out it was cancer not arthritis. 2 days later she had her back leg removed. now, a week later, she is happier than shes been in months - even slowly running again! good thing.Relax, Breathe, Love 2014 Challenges:Cross Stitch Cafe Challenger 23. Not done an awful lot of stitching lately, but I am in the midst of picture framing!!! I have done one of my Kats By Kelly pictures, and have neary finished another. I have yet to do the Silhouettes one for my dad...then back to the stitching...loads of coasters to get through!!
I'll post piccies after the weekend.
Have a great weekend...with this weather I think the best thing to do is stay in and stitch!!

Wooo hoo we have snow! Just spent about 20 mins getting lots of layers on as we are going for a walk in the snow together, last year we couldn't all go out together as dd was so small the snow came over her wellies!
On a serious note sorry for everyone's losses and worries - what an awful week:(
Some lovely cross stitches being done. I too was toying with the idea of going to Harrogate dorastar but the weather has def put paid to that.
Plan for the day= play on snow, make lots of filling food and cakes then knit and stitch like crazy- my ideal weekend!
