Hi guys, I've an exciting weekend. I recieved my first stash of threads and I've finished my first ever project:j
It took about 2 months to complete. I'm going to work on a few tree decorations now over the weekend and then I will go onto my next project which is a stocking. I need to make 2 for DD's but I won't be able to get 2 done before xmas.
Thank you for the reply louise, those designs are fab. I think I might try one next year. I have my heart set on so many it's hard to choose.
Sorry for the size of the photo, I don't know how to make it any smaller.LBM 04/10:j

Thanks. I could've had it done in half the time as the blue section was only supposed to be half stitches:o

Well usually I would say just hand wash it with some washing powder but with the stitching being so close to the edge it could start to fray.
Do you think it really needs washed? If it's not particularly grubby then I would just press it under a damp teatowel and not bother with the full wash.Cross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219. Where do you buy it for 55p a skein delivered? I could do with some red for xmas cards, atm i'm doing patterns that don't contain red which is not an easy task with christmas :rotfl:

Sorry to hear your news EllieP, you'll pull through the other side and be much stronger for it. Santa is amazing, you should be very proud.
The other finished pieces and progress is brilliant as well, love the dolphins, one of my favourite animals, might have to consider doing something similar when I've got through the list of things I've got lined up currently, so around Easter 2012 most probably!!
I've got loads done on the Schnauzer over the last few nights, will post an update tomorrow, along with the finished Grandparents Touch a Heart - need to get that framed in the next week or so, so it is ready for Christmas.
My stitching taking a backseat currently though as I'm making sock and bodysuit roses, ready for my friends babies. One due on Tuesday, the other due in March, so thought I'd get as many done as I can before our baby arrives and I will just need to choose the right colours to create the bouquet. Will post a picture when completed if people don't mind as I'm very proud of them.0
