  • Hi Elliep I'm sorry that you are going through such a rough time at the moment, but I'm glad you've been brave enough to finish the santa as it is looking fab. Well done

  • I second NMM's comments, it's truely amazing to look at!
I was hoping to get a bit of stitching done last night, but between baking a cake for work today for our Children in Need Bake Off, packing to go to a friend's house tonight and sorting out some eBay sold items, there was no time. :(

I've got a little cross-stitch packed for my weekend away though, in case I get some time to do it. :)

Ellie. Santa is looking fantastic! I also love your next project. Next to Tigers, Giraffes are my favourite animal.

elliep sorry to here your news, but I'm glad you finished the santa, it's beautiful.

Casolette well done on finishing it's lovely.

I searched my whole town this morning in search of somewhere that sold cross stitch stuff and only found one shop and I had to wait an hour for it open, so I got some breakfast, a toastie and a cup of tea and it came to £5.25:eek:. The shop had a really poor selection of aida, only 14ct and only one size, too small for my next project. They had a good selection of anchor threads though. Does any one know where I can buy cheap aida online?

ab1767 u must be near me. I'm between Swindon and Oxford (although a lot closer to Swindon!) My MIL2B keeps mentioning Mason's, I think I might need to tag along with her 1 day :) either that or learn to drive!! :rotfl:

Sorry I've not been about this week, not got as much sewing done as i'd like either :o I don't think I've got any chance finishing by the end of the month, but I will keep that as the goal for now anyway. I will take a pic tomorrow, hoping to have a good sew tonight :)

Ellie, santa is looking fab, well done for being brave and getting him out. It'll be worth it, what a lovely gift to yourself :)

I get my fabric from either AcrossTownSitching (best visited using Internet Explorer, it doesn't like Firefox ) or SewandSo.

Across Town is the cheapest place to get threads in bulk too (eg 50 for £16). SewandSo are incredibly quick...I can get mine the day after I submit the order!! Both sell lots of charts and kits as well as other stuff...happy hunting!!!

Oooh, wonderful Santas Mags...don't suppose I could get a ;););) please? Will PM you :)

    Hi everyone

I'm cracking on with the rose but I doubt I'll be finished by Xmas but I'll try anyway. If I keep posting I'll be able to put on pics soon (I hope) Elliep I'm sorry to hear about your troubles but your Santa looks amazing!

Mags_cat I love your tree decorations
