Umm, I wouldn't give it back - but I would probably spend more there next time, especially as you aren't sure that she overcharged you...

Anyway, I am severly lacking in motivation to recommends my Noah's Ark, partly cos I'm going to have to stitch it to the frame. Want a clip one! But have been keeping myself busy with this months free gift from cross stitcher - but with a twist... I've used blanket stitch to hem and stuffed them a bit, will add ribbon loops and use as tree decorations. Here's the first one, complete except for the ribbon. I like cross stitcher mostly, but am finding I need to embellish all the freebies to make them more 'finished' somehow? Anyway, am rambling now - here's my dove :-)

    No. 2 underway....

And the Firefairy kit has gone, sorry...

quick question. Has anyone else found a colour thread problem with "design works crafts inc" kits such as the one I am currently doing.... (a quick reminder)??

Its one of those kits where you just have a load of threads and you have to sort them yourself into "lt green", "black", "peach" etc.

Well so far tonight I have 2 different shades of blue yet only 1 "blue" in the chart coding (and no it won't even pass for grey/ green etc) and 2 different shades of purple again with the same problem.

I haven't finished sorting them yet to see if I am missing any.

ETA: e-mail addy found and message sent.... lets await an answer.
loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:

And no.2 finished. 2 more to do, but am trying to finish the drawings for the planning permission application for our (hopefully) new extension.

:) that's kinda what i was thinking. it's too far to pop back but i'll go again in a month or so so will make it up. thanks!

oh, i'm loving how you've done your doves. they look MUCH better slightly stuffed and the blanket stitch is perfect. :T :T :T

i havent opened the pack yet; are the istructions to glue them? i guess if so then they are just keeping the project more simple as some Xstitchers might not want to do other forms of sewing or have the fill fibre to hand? (i might just have to do the same as you, if you dont mind? :))

    Hi everyone

Hope you don't mind me joining in.

    Hi & Welcome :)

Forgot to post first week progress pics of new kit last week so here's a two week progress pic...

When I decided to stitch it, it was with the thought of 'I'll do this one and get it done out of the way' but I'm quite enjoying it :D

    Hello everyone,

Well I tried the frame but I don't think I got the fabric on right - it was realy uncomfortable to hold and stitch with too :( Not sure what to do about it now.

Anyway, I took it off again lol and this is where I'm up to http://www.flickr.com/photos/54706782@N03/5178274408/

Haven't had a chance to read back through the weekend pages yet - it was hubby's birthday yesterday so we were busy with family etc. Unfortunately I have my son home from school as he is sick today :( but it does mean I might catch up with some stitching ;)

I have a scroll frame and find I can't hold it and stitch at the same time. I have an adjustable table that I bought from Argos years ago and I stand it in front of me and lean the frame on it so that my hands are free. Could you get something like that? All you need is something in front of you to lean the frame on.

Thanks to a fellow stitcher hubby has bought me one for xmas and even though I have only tested it out so far, I think it's the bees knees!! :rotfl:
