What's up with your poor puddytat?
Not sure what is wrong with the cat. He didn't move from the sofa yesterday and when I tried to pick him up, complained very loudly. He isn't off his food though and managed to go outside yesterday evening (his first visit outside all day) although with the horrid weather, can't blame him really. He seems happier/more active today although is back to snoozing on the sofa... Im not sure if he had a bit of an upset stomach although he wasn't sick at all or whether he has been hurt ? but he has no obvious injuries and seems much happier to be picked up today.
Ive got dinner simmering away on the hob so a relaxing afternoon in front of the tv with my cross stitch - just can't make up my mind what to stitch! what are you all stitching this afternoon ?0 -

Glad your cat is feeling a bit better Flat Eric, my cats used to do this too...it just passed within a couple of days. Certainly something they ate I always thought!!
I would like to hink I could get some stitching done today...but soo much going on here atm. Up to my eyes in crafting for Christmas, both for family as well as fairs. Also redecorating DS2's room. The painting is done, so the underlay and carpet should be going down today, then the furniture back in place :j:j Funny how DS2 is suddenly eager to help with the promise of getting back into his bedroom tonight!!
Have a great Sunday everyone.

Hi everyone
Hope you don't mind me joining in.
There are some lovely cross-stich being done and reading this thread has made me want to get on with mine even more. (have been reading for over a month but no posting).
I'm currently in the process of doing a 110 landrover for OH which will be one of his birthday pressies which he knows he is getting. I have also completed in the past a Vulcan Bomber for my dad which he loved and a Chinook for OH. I have also started "The First Angel of Light" for a friend as she loved it when she saw it. That was started over 18 months ago, worked on for a month then put to bed as I knew it wouldn't get completed for Christmas. I pledge to finish the Landrover by the end of this month and then start the Angel one and complete for next Christmas.
Thank you all.

Have a look at the book called Classic Storybook Cross-Stitch by Gillian Souter. Its features the rabbit which I think is the same rabbit as in the "guess how much I love you books". The rabbit appears to be called Nutbrown hare
ISBN-10: 0316854018
Edit: He might also have featured in an old cross stitcher but more like quick and easy cross stitch magazine but can't be completely sure on this.0 -
I have Cross Stitch Card Shop (Issue 60) (somewhere in my cross stitch stash !) which featured cross stitch of some cats. They were called "Lovable Cats"
The designs were by Durene Jones.
Now I seem to remember that these cats also featured in Cross Stitch Crazy or possibly World of Cross Stitching ? Does anyone remember seeing them ? And can tell me what issue ???0 -
Hi Gang
Sorry I have not been on much of late - my contract is changing in February and still unsure how it is going to work for me. We are getting kept on but they can let us go as well - so very certain and quite worrying.
I have been doing my American Anniversery stitch but I still can't find my camera - will have to ask hubby when he wakes to where it is.
Most of my stitching got lost in a fire so I have some magazines that were saved are at my parents needing sorted out. Just have to get the energy one day to go down and sort them. The ones I have received since are in a box to be sorted. Kits I have are in a box, threads are in a screw (this is ideal for skiens) storage box or thread sort of box on bobbins.
I used to have a book with all detailed and pictures but that was lost too.
Thinking of past - does anyone have issue 1 of a sewing magazine - think it was for all stitching. It had a kind of astrology picture in it for tapestry. Can't mind name of magazine but I remember it was issue one. Even if someone has the name of the magazine I can maybe try and trace it. We got a fleece with a similar design and I would love to do the pattern to match it.
Well I did some expermenting today - made nigellas recipe for meatloaf - the one she did on tv on Tuesday and some pumpkin soup from Deilas winter collection - done it before. Why, oh why, in this country do we only sell pumpkins for carving. I love cooking with them - soup, risotto and of course hubbys favourite pumpkin pie (he is american).
Hope all are well - get well soon to the cat that is unwell. Mine is getting more adventurous - jumped on top of door today. Trying her out on new litter, to try and save money.
Kind wishes to all

sweet carerer - that mag rings a bell, i'll take a looksie, think i might have bought one that sounds like that from a craft shop owner's clearance sale. it was number 1 of something and had something astrological - unless i'm mixing up two mags...
i went to a craft shop with my mum this afternoon and bought some small fabric pieces to help finish some sewing ufos... think she undercharged me by £1.50... but then some scraps were smaller than others so maybe they werent all full price. i didnt think about it till i was well away from the shop as we were too busy gassing. what would you do?Relax, Breathe, Love 2014 Challenges:Cross Stitch Cafe Challenger 23.
