Wow Mags cat those santas are fab . I've never been tempted to stitch santa but i am now,
That noahs ark sampler looks fab but hard work.
The peter rabbit sampler looks excellent well done on finishing it.
Bubbles i agree with louise the first one looks the most masculine though they all look good.
Ellie can't wait to see your santa agin it's beautifulCross Stitch Challenge Member Number 20

Hi guys, here is my latest update on Czar, pretty bad considering i started back in September :rotfl:
Shelly, thanks for testing the pencil, its a shame it doesn't rinse off without rubbing it. The coverage seems to be quite good on czar so far, but there is alot of open space. Does it rinse off in warm or hot water?Cross Stitch Cafe Member No1WIP: Cross Stitch: - Crochet:0 -
Have been umming and ahhing about going to the HobbyCrafts / Crafts for Xmas show at the NEC. Last day today.
Have counted the stash and decided that as I only have two unstarted kits (and three in progress shhhh!) that that isn't actually all that bad. Honest.
Am going. Wish me luck - it'll be packed and I'll spend money
P.S. All those promised a Santa nudge - I'll be doing them at work tomorrow so hopefully get them in the post then.0 -

Have only tried rinsing in cold water so far but this week I'll try both hot and warm.
I agree, the stitch coverage seems quite good. There's not a lot of fabric showing through at all. I don't think open space will be a problem for me as I only intend to dot the fabric where a stitch will cover it.
I think I'll also sew a few stitches onto a piece if dotted fabric to see if the marks are likely to show through but looking at your piece so far I'd say if you only dot where a stitch will be you won't see the dots.....we might be worrying about nothing if the marks are covered easily by the stitches :rotfl:
If I don't report back by Wednesday....please remind me:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -

OK - so the damage isn't *so* bad. Could have been worse....I spent £60 on a huge Michael Powell kit, lots of aida / evenweave fabric and a new roller frame.
Next time I threaten to go, someone remind me that as I don't do papercrafting (cards, decoupage, quilling etc.) there aren't all that many stalls dedicated to cross stitch any more...some of those card makers have bloomin' sharp elbows, too...:rotfl:0 -
well i think im going cross eyed :rotfl::rotfl: and my fingers sore :rotfl::rotfl: not sure if i said but hubby and i decied were doing a old style xmas (due to lack of funds and not wanting to be in debt after the avent), and he wanted me to do cross stitch pic for both his mum and dad one each
the one we wanted for dad to be honest we couldnt afford so ive been a bit naughty (well alot naughty really
) so i copyed pic off internet then put it on free cross stitch chart website and printed pattern off, hopefull it will look good though im not expecting it to look perfect, but had fabric so its only cost threads , on second page of pattern and fingers crossed i will get this and mums done in time :eek:

Hi everyone,
I came across a frame that was looking for a new home but I'm not sure how to get started with it. It's got dowling rods with a small strip of fabric stapled to it. I know I have to tack my x-stitch to it, but don't want to get it the wrong way up. I'm sure I've seen pictures of them on here somewhere but I can't find them. Can anyone point me in the right direction of some instructions please?
Managed to get some more done this weekhttp://www.flickr.com/photos/54706782@N03/5154676615/

Hi folks,
Glad to see you're all cracking on with fantastic pieces of work. Can't show you mine unfortunately as Mum has borrowed my camera, but am progressing slowly.
Anyway, because nowhere round here sells Madeira threads, I have ended up with a second copy of WOXS Issue 170. I have taken out the sample Madeira gold thread to finish the project that I was working on, but if anyone wants the mag, the free Xmas card designs and the sample Madeira purple metallic thread, then please send me a pm with your snail mail address and you are welcome to it.
Big Zen hugs to all who want or need them.
