I'm BACKKKKKKKKKKKKKK.
Well I got..... dum dum dum dum..............no stictching done in my week away!!!
The plan was to get it out once DS was asleep unfortunatly:
a) the bedside lights in the travellodge were as good as a choccy teapot and i could barly see my hands let alone the stitching.
b) my preggers itching has progressed to sheer hell where i itch within 2 hours of drugging and creaming myself up so have had barley any sleep for the last week (fingers crossed i can bribe the dr for steroid tablets tomorrow). ALSO (and i believe only people with overactive thyroid will understand) I now get painful hands. All i can do with them when they start is to pull at them and rub against each other for an hour before they stop hurting. Now I have never suffered with thyroid problems but my mum does which is why I believe that is what it is....... will see if they test me for that too tomorrow.
I am home now (just) and curled up in bed so after a quick cream and drug up I shall attempt to do some more. tho I have to start my christmas cards soon as at this rate people will be getting em in April.Only sunny clacton? lol I'm sorry to say it's not very sunny todayI hope you have a lovely time while you're here though.
It's my day off today, so hoping to get some more stitching done after all the shopping and h**s*w*rk lol.
well weather wasn't a complete wash out (much). tho gutted as I promised someone at work a stick of rock with his name through it and saw 5 sticks of rock the entire week.Updated list
Chicky - I was wondering, since you have the opening post in this thread, would you mind copying and and pasting the list at the end of your post so members can find it easily? Thanks x
I shall indeeedy try........ just kick me when it needs updating.Charliec45 wrote: »Hi peeps!

Well done louise you're getting there!
Chiggy, I suffered the same itch during pregnancy, I couldve stratched my skin off. The only way to stop scratching was when my skin was cold, so I used to sleep on the sofa, windows wide open with very little on:o (it was summer, wouldn't reckomend it at this time of year). But the good news is after the birth the itching gradually stopped.
Had a lovely day of stitching yesterday. We got a new suite last week that reclines, it is bliss. So yesterday I reclined in fornt of the fire with my cross stitch for hours. I havent had such a relaxing day in months.LBM 04/10:j

I use masking tape to attach mine to the frame. Used to use pins but as I found out when I found Floral Alphabet after many a year it had rust marks. Also, I do the in the well method to help keep my stitching clean - here is what it was like at the start of me doing golden earth (a UFO to completed in a million years)
.
I tried the marsking tape and got more frustrated with that than trying to sew it on.
Question: Can I buy just the clippies for my existing stand?
Finished a Cross-stitch today:
Going to attempt to sew up the cushion that belongs to my Old Friends brighten our days cross-stitch. Not done one before so that'll be interesting tomorrow.0 -
GRRRRRRRR I am so annoyed with myself
Was fairly whipping through the top border then I recounted and thought 'hang on, something's not right here......'
The big blue writing at the top....it should have been a full block further to the right
I considered leaving it or extending the border to the left but it just would have thrown the map part off centre. So I have just spent the last two hours unpicking all that blue.

Sorry I have no idea what you mean so can't help
I blame the time of day, it is late...or early depending on how you look at it :rotfl::heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -
Not strictly cross stitch - but now I've finished it I can get back to my Noah's Ark! This is a puzzle ball for a friend of mine, for her almost-walking baby to chase round the room - they don't roll away so quickly, you see :-)
And I wanted to show off slightly, can't put it on facebook until it has arrives with the recipient!

I quite fancy making a mini one as a pincushion... This one is about 7" diameter, good for throwing across the room at OH!

NMM.
I rinsed a couple more pieces of dotted black fabric today. One in warm water and one in hot and had the same result as when I used cold water last week.
As before they seemed to fade a little but I could still see the marks and the marks only disappeared completely if I rubbed them with my fingertip.
I also made some fresh dots on one of the pieces and done a few stitches in black. You couldn't see the dots at all once stitched over, though they were only small dots.
I think for me this is a good result. I only intend to mark the fabric with dots where each stitch will be so I don't need to worry that the dots won't wash out.
Judging by my results I wouldn't use the pencil to mark a grid. I think if you want to mark a grid then go with the fishing line idea.:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0
