I absolutely love your Santa, he has been one of my favourite projects I have seen on here and have looked forward to your updates. Can you remind me where you got the pattern for him from please, or does he come as part of a kit anywhere?
Hi Vickie, Santa was a chart from Cross Stitch Collection in November 2009. PM me your e-mail address if you want the chart, as it's an old magazine chart and not for sale anywhere I'm more than happy to share.Oh - anyone else read this months No1 Crosstitcher yet? Opinions on month 2 of the new look?
I am thinking of giving up this mag and getting Cross stitch collection instead - There is a lovely 'air goddess' pic by Joan Elliot coming up in this month's issue that I'm liking a lot:D
Hi Louise, I'm really not impressed. I missed month 1 of the new look but as an ex subscriber they offered me 3 months for £1 so I took them up on it. If the next two are anything like this one then I won't be extending the subscription (would do it through tesco rewards if at all).
I quite like the little Christmas motifs on page 18 but I already have so many little Christmas motif charts that I'll probably never use them. I'm like you though and generally prefer the bigger charts and there is noting at all that takes my fancy, especially dissapointing as I can see the end of Santa and was looking for inspiration for my next project.
I got the same deal of 3 for £1 on Cross stitch collection so I'll see what that's like when it comes, I can't see it being worse than the new Cross Stitcher though.
Off to do some stitching now, it won't be long until Santa is finished.0 -

Will pick it up tomorrow morning when I drop the baby off, something to read in my lunch break :-) will be interested to see how the new format develops...

Hi
I've drawn a gingham heart to use a christmas tree decoration - I could e-mail you the pattern if you want? I've done it in red and white, and yellow and white, but you can use any colour - two shades plus white.0 -
Here's the latest progress, I'm hopeful that I can finish it by the end of the week as planned:
