Hi Vickie and welcome, of course you may join in.
Your projects sound great, I couldn't work on so many at once. I just have one big (Santa) project that I work on at home and little cover kits etc that I work on out and about in gaps at work.0 -

Yes, its Michael Powell - he's my favourite! I've done another one by him, not framed yet, but must get around to it... See linky

I love his stuff as well - have got his chapel one to do with the same chapel as yours but more in the middle and with houses in the background but no pit head. Can't wait to get started on it when I've done a few more UFOs first!Mortgage £119,533 going down slowly

Gosh you do work quickly! I only normally manage to go so quick during the first few days of a new project. Was doing Christmas shopping online last night rather than sewing, my hands felt really odd without something to occupy then!
http://www.flickr.com/photos/54706782@N03/5130754083/ Is where I'm up to, I'm hoping to get it done by Christmas, but I haven't bought anything to start afterwards yet...lol thinking about it though
I'm thinking of getting a frame to work on rather than use a hoop - as I've noticed it stretching the fabric in places. Is there any particular style I should look for?

Getting married 19th August 2011 to a lovely, lovely man :-)0 -
Had a lovely days stitching yesterday, think I put in about 11 hours altogether, although I have woken up this morning with a really stiff neck. H2b has had a weekend of nights so was in bed most of yesterday. I stopped to cook dinner and see him off to work and then straight back to it.
Got to take my son and his mate to the Gatwick tonight straight after work and then collect some work from Haywards Heath so won't be home until really late. Have my cross stitcher cover kit hearts for lunchtime though.
I have all of next week off work so should have some free time then. Having said that I have wedding arrangements to see to and need to do some DIY in the kitchen as new one is being fitted in three weeks time.Married 19th May 2011 to the love of my lifeCross Stitch Cafe Member Number 44CSC Challenge - to complete LEGS by end of December

Morning ladies.
Here's what I am doing next.....thought I'd go smaller this time.
Nmm. Remembered this morning to rinse a piece of the black fabric that I marked with the white pencil on Tues 19 oct.
I let it soak for a min or 2 in cold water then swished it about a bit. The white dots did seem to fade a little but you could still see them, they only disappeared completely when I rubbed them with a fingertip.:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -

I didn't intend to work on so many at once Ellie but my little sister threw a spanner in my plans. I was planning to concentrate on the wedding sampler thinking I had loads of time, but she is having 3 little bridesmaids and asked me to do at least one of the Flower girls for her. I didn't want her to know I was doing the wedding sampler so just said yes. She isn't getting married until the end of January so I'm sure I'll have time. The tiger one is an ongoing project that might get finished in another 10 years time.
I do like to have a little simple one on the go too that I can do in coffee/lunchbreaks at work but these have been put on hold for the minute.
I absolutely love your Santa, he has been one of my favourite projects I have seen on here and have looked forward to your updates. Can you remind me where you got the pattern for him from please, or does he come as part of a kit anywhere?Cross Stitch Cafe Challenge Member #53.

Oh - anyone else read this months No1 Crosstitcher yet? Opinions on month 2 of the new look?
I'm still not keen. I like to do fairly large pictures usually, there seems to be a lot of faff involved in everything. I'm not keen on normal stitching and couldn't use a sewing machine if my life depended on itThere isn't anything this month I will make (again)
I do like the little Margaret Sherry snowman and...um...actually that's allI also think they are becoming a little owl obsessed :rotfl::rotfl:
I am thinking of giving up this mag and getting Cross stitch collection instead - There is a lovely 'air goddess' pic by Joan Elliot coming up in this month's issue that I'm liking a lot:DCross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219.
