Also have to stitch more regularly as have a wonky eye (just a bit slow at accommodating different distances) and the optician says the muscles have really strengthened with stitching as I have to look at stitching, then chart, then maybe tv etc so I don't need glasses anymore atm.

hey dorastar, that's really interesting. i've a lazy and wonky eye too but think my change of job to being at a desk a lot of the time has made it worse. hopefully the stiching has helped?! i've got an opticians appointment tomorow, so will see what he says.

my stash: gosh, all of you and all your stashes and UFOs!! i've only a few kits waiting to be done, but they still bug me nonetheless:
    1) bird for my mum donated by some one fantastic!
    2) rudolf i bought last winter to do when sitting with nan, but then she was too ill for me to concentrate so it's still in it's package.
    3) two little house mini samplers - waiting till we hopefully move.
    4) 2 gingham hearts from mag front - to do asap before Xmas.

BUT i've lots of post-its in magazines and a 1/2 meter of aieda & cheap threads from 99p Stores to do them with, so i'm not sure if they count or not!

AND, well please dont give the Sewing Room people the idea to ask about kits/stash/UFOs... my list would be really quite long indeed! (1 quilt top needing quilting, 1 cushion kit waiting to be opened, 2 quilts fabric sorted but not started, 2 UFO cushions, a long list of 'want to makes' and stash fabric in 4 curver boxes!!) :rotfl:

Just thought I'd say Hi, sorry I've not been on for a while but I've not been well and then after the post on the quilt thread I'm not sore I'd be welcome.
But if no one minds then I'd like to comeback :)

I've not done much cross stitch at all lately so I need to get back into action! Although I am getting very very christmassy!!

Hope everyone is ok and I'll be having a good read through the thread a bit later xx

Just a quickie - I am working late - so thought I would look on as our computer at home is away being assessed for the insurance.

Nice to see all work going on - need to catch up. Working away on American stitch.

THe american stitch is for my parents in law 50th anniversery (my husband is from states). It is from an american mag and I will be altering the wording to suit. Picture below from the original mag. Some one asked (don't mind who - sorry).

    Hope all are well

    sweetcarer ;)

PS I am tempted by the colourful cats chart - should really sort my stash that got saved from fire and what I have in shed - I know I have all of cross stitcher magazine and cross stitch collection as well as few kits. Kind wishes.

    Couldn't agree more:beer:

I have been decorating today- living room, ceiling and undercoat and gloss all done, just emulsioning to do tomorrow. No stitching done as I have moved my lamp and it's hidden behind all the stuff which belongs in the lounge so did some knitting instead as it's easier on the eyes. Will finish the scissor keep tomorrow and post a pic.
