Am very excited that I just booked tickets for us to see Sarah Millican next March :j We are going with friends and it's taken me ages to pin hubby down to see if he's available on that day.
I'm not usually impressed by comediennes but she makes me laugh out loud!

she is fabby, one of the best new comediennes.

Looking great Louise - you are fairly motoring ahead (as usual!)

Not getting much sewing done as my sinusitis is still quite bad. Have been given yet more steroids and antibiotics today...hopefully they will kick in soon.

I have been knitting though, so been productive in some ways!!

I now have frames for the two designs I have already sewn, so will post piccies later on in the week of my progress (if any).

    PS Sammy, love the butterflies!!!

Hello everyone, my isnt it chillly? well, we didnt make it to November, (unlike last year!!) and finally gave in a put the heating on last night for 2 hours :o - my OH said he was worried about the pipes freezing and i didnt complain! :rotfl:

*Louise* good to see you're still storming on!
Shelly - enjoy Sarah millican - she rocks!
Mags Cat - wow! that's some adventure! must be fun planning something like that.

i went to a fab big craft warehouse on saturday with friends and bought some clear stamps and punches to make Xmas cards - i'm thinking of mixing them up with some little XStitches... maybe even somehow making the Xstitch detatchable for a decoration so it's a card & gift in one... we'll see if i can pull it off... anyone got any tips for me?!

silly me stitched the reindeer leg in the wrong place so i have to unpick quite a bit of a small motif :(. very irritating so i havent picked it up in a few days. maybe tonights the night to finish it, now i wont be burried under so many blankets!! :rotfl:

Oh deary deary me - have just emptied out and tidied the sewing box in our room, it is only a small wicker chest but boy does it hold an awful lot of stuff.:o

Have made a list of all the UFOs still remaining -

1.Everyone brings joy sampler - bought last year not started
2.Wolf - bought in Canada in 2006 and not started yet
3.Dreamcatcher - bought and lost chart so need to get chart
4.Christmas tree - bought last year and not started yet
5.Mackintosh roses - from a magazine started but not finished
6.Purple square - bought as a challenge last year and still scares me - not started
7.Modern alphabet - bought last year to use up spare threads but not finished

Thanks Dorastar - you have made me feel so much better:rotfl:

Think I will make my list tomorrow night and shame myself- I too am going to Harrogate and while I don't think I have as many things actually started I know I have a lot of things sitting waiting ready to go! I also have a few finished items which either need putting into frames (which I have waiting:o) or into cards (got those too:o) Think I might punish myself by making sure I get everything framed/into cards/made up before I allow myself to do more of the cardi I have just got started on.

Have nearly finished the Charlie and Lola card, just backstitching and odd confetti stiches and then that's one to cross off the list:D

    Happy stitching

  • Thrifty, have you thought about selling one or two of the not-yet-started projects you have stashed away? Am I committing sacrilege by suggesting such a thing? ;) Your UFO list is making me hyperventilate and it doesn't even belong to me! ;)
May your needle stay threaded, your stitches even, and may the goddess keep your tangles far away. :)

I'm No36 in a cross stitch challenge I don't quite understand yet, but my goal is to be done all the stitches on my UFO before Christmastime!

Dorastar - wow!! That's a lot of projects lol I think I must be the only person who finishes something before buying the next thing. Mind you, we don't have space to stash things away - think it's be a different story if we had more room lol.
