  • Hi everyone,

Hopefully I will be back properly soon, I know I keep saying it but I keep going through a hard time with moods, meds and other health problems.

I got some good news, I passed my Tribunal that I had been scared about since December!!!! I had been scared about it and was a shaking wreck travelling through with my dad, my dad doesnt understand panic attacks and normally shouts and calls me stupid if I have one in public which makes it worse but I was so bad on the way there even my dad sympathised!! The welfare rights guy told us about a judge and doctor being on the panel and said the doctor would be in our favour as he specialised in mental health but the solicitor was the worst could have got and was a horrible man so I was more scared. He said I needed to get 15 points to get my benefit and they would ask me questions then him and they would do some bartering then we would be asked to leave while they discussed whether I qualified and this whole progress would take an hour but instead after me talking for 5 minutes they asked us to leave and then called us back saying I qualified on a Sction 29 which mean I cannot work as I am a risk to myself or others if I work. Obviousky not so great that I am still ill but it means I can go back to work when I feel ready. And also, I get an increase in £25 a week benefit and get that backdated to last December which is a grand so I can buy some cross stitch stuff!!!!

As for doing cross stitch there has been none done in this house, I have ordered the stuff for my next project but waiting for the fabric (decided to try hand dyed), I bought from an american company abcstitching as it was much cheaper to buy the 10 spools of kreinik from there then here Its cheaper there in dollars than £ here and thats before you even look into the currency changy so was worth it.

This is the material its called rainbow sparkle

I didn't get to post this over the weekend, as hoped.

I'll probably make this into a card for my mum this year, but will end up stitching it again for myself too!

I love that, I was going to buy it but they had a minimum spend of £8 and there was nothing else I wanted on the site.

Hi - you see all over these boards that posters are a member of 'this thread' or 'that thread', well in April Bubbles listed us all with numbers and copied down our Monthly challenge which was our personal target we set ourself.

I found it quite useful and still set targets (see my sig lol), Bubbles hasn't been feeling up to listing the stuff lately (((hugs to Bubbles))) and when elliep asked about her number I thought I would just look up the numbers so people can put them in their sig if they want.

Ps - I have added you to the member list if that's ok :D feels free to let us know about any targets you set yourself.

Its nice to see the list is still being used and I wasn't forgotten.

can I say well done Bubbles, but please take that in the best sense, tis hard to write how want it to read.

  • I know what you mean its a double edged sword, its good I can get a job when my head is sorted but no one likes to hear your basically a ticking timebomb. The welfare rights guy said he had only ever heard of that happenening twice and he couldnt wait to tell his boss cos it would look good for him even though they never even got to speak to him. It took a huge weight away from me. I was in tears when I left.

Now Im getting the money I can go bankrupt and put my mast manic episode behind me and with the right meds hopefully move on with my life. We also had some good news the other day, my brother is getting married. They have been together for 7 years and he has a son and her 2 daughters so they are a family anyway and we love her and her daughters as their own but to have it official and celebrate it will be fantastic. I now officially am an aunt 7 times, well I will be in February 25th.

I have missed talking to you all on here. Hopefully I will be feeling ok again tomorrow and get on.

Glad to see you're popping back more often Bubbles...and good news about your tribunal, despite the trauma you went through.

Here's to moving on and getting on with the rest of our lives
    !
Congrats on the impending wedding day...my DS2's birthday (my babay)....he will be 18 ...now that really makes me feel old!! :rotfl:

Not feeling too great today...two asthma attacks this morning and still a bit iffy...waiting for a phone call from the doc..hopefully he will prescribe some steroids...need something as I've been bad for over a week now. Won't be able to concentrate enough to sew (also glasses restricting my breathing again:eek:)...but may manage to get some knitting done.

Wonderful sewing projects everyone...finished my first Kats by Kelly at the weekend....will post a piccie when I have washed and ironed it. Not sure when I will get the next one started...never mind finished!! :(

    Helo Everyone

Sorry I have not been on for ages - computer problems and more to come - screen has broke on laptop - so waiting for it to be assessed by insurance company to see if it can be fixed or replaced. We can use it but only for brief times. :(

I have done some work on my american anniversery stitch - too late for their anniversery now - will try and upload picture later - still in a suitcase - only unpacked necessary stuff just now as I am back at work.

Welcome to all the newbies - this is a great place and not just for cross stitching ;).

Louise your stitching is amazing - you must be in the world records for fast stitching. Keiss hope you get better soon - doc offered me flu jag other week there but I refused for just now - not sure how it will effect me. Bubbles nice to see you again - glad the tribunal is over for you - they are very traumatic (used to do work for the tribunal service). Shelly your stitch looks so colourful - think I agree it only needs one border. Chicky - thank you for sharing your picture of chickyandahalf - brought a tear to my eye. Ruth - not long to your big holiday - nice to get away for a while. Kez you are doing so well for evenweave - hard to believe its your first time on evenweave. Dora glad you had a great time at your club - must be nice to go to one. If I have forgotten anyone I am sorry - just trying so hard to catch up.

My time is nearly up so I will catch you all soon - I am able to look at posts at work but can't post pics.

    Kind wishes to all

    sweetcarer ;)

Hi sweetcarer - I know your pain, my lappy screen broke in Aug but I never even thought about claiming it on the insurance (having a think about that now!) been stuck sharing the family pc since then.

Hope you get sorted soon so you can share your anniversary stitch pics :)
