There's nothing in it I will make either
I liked the mice but that was about it. Next months Christmas designs don't look all that special either
Not too impressed with the first new look, but will wait and see what the next couple of months bring..
I liked the Margeret Sherry pumpkin kitten, but that's pretty much it.
Only 3 months into my sub, which I bought with Tesco clubcard vouchers anyway, so no point in cancelling until years sub has finished anyway.
Sorry for sounded quite grumpy, but had horrible weekend. We have lost our holiday spending money that we exchanged with Crown Currency last week. Absolutely gutted & as it was me who told DH to use them, I feel like it's my fault. Not going on holiday for another month, but need to get another £1100 together to replace what we've lost.Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

Ooh how pretty, Louise...
I shy away from large Christmas stitches..I haven't even put any non-Xmas stuff up on the wall.. including photos!
We've only lived here nearly 3 years though
Just posted a tigger and Pooh hug cross stitch for my nan here:j A-well-a bird, bird, bird...b-bird's the word :j0 -
Ruth. Sorry to hear about your holiday spends
Louise. I love love love it!!
Haven't done any stitching for what seems like forever but it's only been a few days. I think I have completed the main part of the design so started on the wording today. I say I think because I might put in another sunflower....not made my mind up yet:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -

I really don't like it. Far too much actual sewing to do to make up all these hangers etc. Plus the cost of buying all the extras. I don't know what they're thinking. There's hardly anything I liked in this issue and nothing at all I'd bother stitching from it. What a shame as I was looking forward to the revamped mag. There's nothing in it I will make eitherI liked the mice but that was about it. Hi Louise and Ruth - thanks so much for your opinions on the new look mag. That's my favourite mag so i was hoping it'd be good (as per another post on the preview i was quite excited). i can't afford to buy many mags so i'm now confused as to whether to make it my monthly treat or not! :money:
to anyone whose bought the above mag and doenst like it - so i'm wondering if i can be REALLY cheeky? maybe there's someone on here who really doenst like it and thinks they'll never stitch from it, and if you dont aim to keep a full set of the mag of course... maybe i could buy it off you? (recoup some of your costs + p&p) sorry, uber cheeky i know. please dont hate me! i'm just thrifty and not wanting to line the pockets of the company if they really have stuffed up the magazine!
Ruth - oh no! i'm so sorry for you! only last week? that's shocking and totally awefull. they must have know they weren't solvent. i hope you've complained and added your story to whereever there's a thread on this elsewhere on martin's pages. i really hope something can be done. xRelax, Breathe, Love 2014 Challenges:Cross Stitch Cafe Challenger 23. I'll post a new update on Sunday when it's been a week, otherwise you'll get bored of me posting a picture everyday!
Ruth, sorry to hear about your holiday currency, for you!0 -
ohh ruth_honey that is a nightmare. i know you've prob read up on it but if you paid with a credit or debit card yoy may still get it back.............http://www.moneysupermarket.com/c/news/what-the-collapse-of-crown-currency-means-for-you/0010253/loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. Thanks for all the hugs, girls! Much appreciated.
Thanks Chicky for the link. Quite a few reports haven't done any research on CCE, as you couldn't pay by Debit or Credit card. It was bank transfer and cheque only. So I very much doubt we'll get anything back. What annoys me most is that if we'd waited a few days to exchange the money, we wouldn't be involved. I feel for all the people who've lost their jobs too.
Have sent the relevant form to the administrators & reading the threads on here, but it's kinda depressing...
Anyway, today we've had a nice treat. I bought a spa voucher a few months ago on Last Minute and we'd booked in to have a massage today. The spa (Sofitel hotel, London) was gorgeous and I feel much better for my chocolate massage.Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

:j I've finally finished my Scarecrow Sampler!! :j
After resolving to face the current project / UFO I sat down for the last two evenings, and 3 episodes of the XFiles later it is finally done! I'll post a pic tomorow if I can get the computer to recognise the camera. I'm a little ashamed that it went from July's challenge, to August, then Oct... but as I didnt touch it at all in September, maybe that's only 2 months late!?!
(wow, old XFiles on video recorded off the Telly when i was a teenager. oddness. But David Duchovney is still cute!)Relax, Breathe, Love 2014 Challenges:Cross Stitch Cafe Challenger 23.
