As if I don't already have more than enough kits and charts to last me 3 life times, I loved this kit so much that I had to give in to temptation. My excuse is that it's my birthday in 3 weeks and this is my present to myself ;):

Wow, what an amazing/stunning design Erics mum - looks like there is a lot of gold thread, have fun!!

Been lurking once in a while lately, then spend so much time catching up with the posts, I don't get around to posting myself!! :D

I have finished sewing my Q quilt square as well as the coaster...I have washed them both, but haven't ironed them yet. I will post piccies
tomorrow..will do it once I have made up the coaster.

Got to pop over to the quilt thread to see if people have heard from Lellypants...sent my other two squares to her ages ago. I do hope she is going get going with the quilt soon, or at least pass the squares on to someone who will. So holding back sendng this square to see what's happening.

I am onto the backstitching on the foxglove card-kit that came with WOXS no 167...it's for MIL who is 81 next week. We are seeing my Sis-IL on Sunday who is then going up to MIL's, so she can take it up with her. I had hoped to finish it yesterday, but got my (many:o!) warts treated yesterday by the doc (liquid nitrogen!)..and my hands hurt sooo much all day...I certainly couldn't pick up a needle, never mind sew!! :( Much better today, but been too busy so far.

Talking of WOXS...read your article Bubbles...so wonderful, just like you!! You and your parents must really be proud of how far you have come the past year. :T:T:T

Right, off to make tea...odds'n'sods tonight - sausages, bacon (left over from previous meal) and french toast (using up heels of loaves)...with beans and carrots....
    yum! ;)

    Have a good evening all.

Will return tomorrow with piccies...promise! :)

  • Ladies,

Do you know of any free christmas designs that only need a couple or few colours? I fancy making some Xmas cards this year for my dearest, but need a bit of inspiration. I've got the little booklet from the recent WoXS, but it's a bit more detail than I was looking for.
