(I'm trying to diet too so I'm hoping it'll be a good distriction from munching, lol)!

I find stitching a great distraction from munching! If my mind is occupied I don't think about eating. If I do feel peckish I have a cup of tea or a hard boiled sweetie....only one mind! :D

Awww...Sam can come and lie on my stitching anytime...:) What a cutie! Did you ever find out if Sam is a boy or girl?

Started stitching something else new today. I know, I know...LOL! Thought I'd stitch my Mum the spool tree that I did for myself early this year as part of her christmas pressie. I bought some evenweave from Wimblebees with some opal sparkly bits in and thought it would look good stitched on that.

Sweetcarer, reminds me of mine! She was on my lap yesterday and started to play with my knitting!

On that point, I visited mum at the weekend and I was doing my knitting all wrong, apart from one thing! So it's been unpicked and restarted and it's looking much better now! :T

It's not as straight forward as cross-stitching though, so you're not going to loose me that easily to knitting... :rotfl:

The vet confirmed she is a girl. Still love her even tho we wanted a boy.

:rotfl:The guy I got her (one of our managers) from has been issued with a sex education video and the rest of the guys on the site keep calling her the transexual cat.:rotfl:

I have usually to keep her out of the room when I am stitching as she thinks the threads are a game and is facinated by scissors.

Didn't complete my challenge - really fed up with confetti stitching - so its going on back burner for while.

New challege to complete at least one of the anniversery stitches.

Hope all is well in your part of the world.

    sweetcarer ;)

    and sam x

Hi, I've just joined this website and forum and found this thread. I'm a keen cross-stitcher and love doing it. At the moment I'm working on a Hello Kitty piece. I'll try to put some photos up of it later.

Just thought I'd pop in and say hi - looking forward to sharing tips and seeing others pieces :)

Hi everybody! I come to check on your progress daily -- I love seeing the stitches grow to cover more and more of your aida cloths!

My finals were over a week ago, so I've been cross stitching a lot lately. Here's a linky: http://www.flickr.com/photos/38167724@N03/4861986833/

I'm headed home to Canada -- so I won't be working on this UFO, since it's kind of big to lug around. Actually, there was a cross stitch project my mom loved so much that she bought three of them, thinking I'd do them for her... unfortunately, they're a similar size as this girl on the beach I've been working on, and I don't think I've got the stamina to do the same picture three times in a row like that! However, when I saw my mom had sorted and painstakingly labeled all of the thread colours, I agreed to work on her choice of cross stitch whenever I'm at "home" with her. I might take pictures, who knows?

    Have a good Thursday, everyone!
May your needle stay threaded, your stitches even, and may the goddess keep your tangles far away. :)

I'm No36 in a cross stitch challenge I don't quite understand yet, but my goal is to be done all the stitches on my UFO before Christmastime!

I am not sure i could do three of the same one after the other either!! Good luck with that!

I've not done much stitchery - it seems my whole life revolves around visitng mother (and going to work). It's no fun just to sit there and talk to her. I wish she'd reply more often. The doc thinks she's depressed now. Apparently its really common after a stroke. BAH!

Hope your Thursdays are all going swimmingly :) x
