Does anyone have any motivational ideas?
Try and give yourself an hour a day to get some stitches in, that might help motivate you. If you are able to dedicate a day to yourself and your stitching, that helps me to get on with it a bit. :o

Maybe the car tax people would accept a really really beautifully stitched....

    No....maybe not :rotfl:

    (So glad you found it!)
Oh this was funny Mags! Then with Dora's comment below, wouldn't that look so cool? :T

Thanks - will get on with stitching a new tax disk after the quilt square! My house is honestly not as disorganised as it sounds it's just a small boy who likes stashing stuff away when we are not looking (well when his dad is not looking tbh:p)
Well at least he's tidy Dora, which is more than most parents hope for, but of course it has it's down side... :rotfl:

On my front, not able to do any stitching today, as I've been in London for work. I'm currently stitching a couple of winnie the pooh christmas cards as work. It's 18ct Aida, which is smaller than I'm used to! (14ct...)

willl try and do piccies in the week.

the pink highlighter is well penned on and has no plans to shift - it sat in bubble bath all night, oxy all day and now been thro the washer. all its done is fade a bit.

any ideas or should i just keep putting it in washer everytime i do a wash???

    Hi Chicky
May seem odd but have you tried hairspray? I know it gets out normal pen as I use it on my work blouse also the vanish squirt liquid the one with the two nossels gets pen out I used some last week and left it to soak for a while poped it into the machine and it washed out. Maybe worth a try.

    Hi Pennib

    Happy friday ladies!! :D

I seem to have made quite a bit of progress since Wednesday. I think it's deceptive though because I am doing a birdhouse that has no fractional stitches so seem to have done alot because they are full X's.
I have decided I'll have to 'reward' myself for doing a sunflower by doing a birdhouse and go at it that way. Whilst they are pretty the sunflowers seem very slow to stitch because they are quite fiddly.

Bubbles I hope you are feeling better soon :(

so you can see the highlighter. it's much lighter then it looks now but you can see how much space it takes up - can't be covered by stitching unfortunatly. this weekend i shall be purchasing stain remover!!
loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:

Aww your kittens are lovely - was that in cross stitcher or some other mag, I am sure I remember seeing it and thinking i'd love to do it...

Do those red guide lines wash out? I really hope the highlighter come out too... otherwise it will be a blimmin' shame!

I am back to my cats now... see if I can finish number 40 this evening

Have a lovely weekend, may be the sun will come out so we can enjoy another summery relax

    Get well soon Bubbles xx

Oooo did I tell you mum's been refusing to talk to the speech therapist - naughty monkey. They've revised her transfer to rehab til next Wednesday. They STILL can't get rid of her tummy pain, and there's talk of cameras in all sorts of orifices now *not that you need to know!* On the good side, she is talking, slowly when she chooses too. YAY!
