And can anyone recommend a line marker?? I bought the one that someone posted an ebay link to and I'm sorry to say I don't like it. It says 24- 48hrs on it and it went in 10 mins:eek: so I need the one which comes out in cold water I thnk. Can anyone recommend a brand please?
http://www.sewandso.co.uk/ran410-0.html and I've had no trouble with it coming out, I used it on my quilt square and a bit on the recently complete Friends brighten our days.
The only thing I would suggest is don't press too hard as it tends to 'bleed' along the threads, so a light touch is best.0 -

thank you - i guess i don't like it cause it doesn't tell me how to stitch IYSWIM - it's a case of put the needle in and out where you feel like it.
The instructions said the dots (or something) tell you the direction to stitch in but a lot of it has no dots. :think:tellmeitsfriday wrote: »it's finally here... my Wimblebees order... at blimmin' last

The two lots of fabric, and the floor-frame were there, and that was what I wanted most...
The magic pen, magic fabric, needles and little thread cutter pendant thing (instead of scissors for on the plane) were missing, but I really only ordered them because they were half price.
However it was DEFINITELY all in stock when I added it - there was a lot more I would have picked if it was in stock...
Ordered it on 2nd July, and came in two halves...
Tis a shame they're closing, when they were trading properly they were very quick and accurate. Back to sewandso.com then....
Mother's off to the rehab hospital tomorrow, as long as she can go to the loo (did you need to know that?)... Apparently the stroke has damaged her ability to put things in order, and to choose the right words when speaking... They think they can teach her that again...
Exciting though :j
I really want to go home today... I HATE year end!0 -
Hi everyone!
I'm in the middle of finals so not much stitching has gone on for me, but I wanted to let you know that when I need a break from memorizing lists and writing essays, I come peak at your stitching. Can't wait to get back in the groove!Hope everyone is having a wonderful July.
May your needle stay threaded, your stitches even, and may the goddess keep your tangles far away.
I'm No36 in a cross stitch challenge I don't quite understand yet, but my goal is to be done all the stitches on my UFO before Christmastime! :cool:0 -

humm, i know what you mean about having to figure it out yourself! But not what you mean about the dots... would you like to scan & upload a pic so we can have a look at these seemingly odd instructions?tellmeitsfriday wrote: »Mother's off to the rehab hospital tomorrow, as long as she can go to the loo (did you need to know that?)...

the pink highlighter is well penned on and has no plans to shift - it sat in bubble bath all night, oxy all day and now been thro the washer. all its done is fade a bit.
any ideas or should i just keep putting it in washer everytime i do a wash???loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -
It's a pillow by an American company called Pine Mountain cross stitch. The pillow case is already made up, with the aida panel stitched in. All you do is stitch the design on, pop the pillow part inside and pull the ribbon through the hole to hold it in place! That's my kind of finishing...:rotfl: I started it late morning and finished stitching about an hour ago. It was a belated birthday pressie from my hubby (he'd bought it ages ago and forgot where he put it until I pestered him to find it). I bought it from The Nimble Thimble at a show (the owner of the shop ordered in the 2 I wanted, but she does have some designs in her shop) for £20. Hoping to find some others I like when I go out to America later this year.Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

What about trying the Vanish soap? My mum swears it'll shift almost any stain. Hope it works.Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27
