I have a mix too - it's a NIGHTMARE!! Have finally started to label them DMc and ANC when putting onto a bobbin as I never used to!!

I have got it now, thank you all. My little craft shop had it (and at only 79p - BARGIN!).
It's not as big as I thought it was tho and the lady had to look after my DS in the buggy while I ran and got it as you still can't fit pushchairs up the aisles! :p

I can finish it tonight now WOOOP WOOOP and put it in the washing machine............. lets hope the pink highlighter pen DS drew on it with while daddy was supposed to be looking after him comes out!!

While I was looking for you this morning, I sorted all my little bags of thread into types - DMC, Anchor, Special threads... And typed out a list of the contents, which I am going to print out and staple to the bags - Loads of duplicates - very embarrasing. What a waste of money!

79p's about average for a shop I'd have thought - fine if you need 1 in an emergency :) That across-town-stitching is 35p including postage if you need 50, and less that that if you buy more :) She's fast and accurate too.

How old is your little one? You'll have to lock away your highlighters x (BTW, what does the D in DS mean?)

Enjoy finishing your cats... :) x

not in Sheffield  £1.20ish in John Lewis (tid only city centre shop that sells DMC) and 89p in Hobbycraft (+ £3.50 tram fare).

I don't normally buy many in 1 go so normally use an e-bay 2 for 99p + free postage but was tooo impatient (and couldn't find this one) this week.

I bought a new 414 the other day then realised i had 1 and a nearly full bobbin of it..... tis a HORRIBLE gray too which I will prob never use again - unless a design calls for it specifically.

He's 21 month - it was in my stitching so i could colour in the chart - must buy a lockable box!

I think 'Darling' but I prefer "devious" "disasterous" "dangerous"

    50p each is good :)

Gotta love the kids, even when they draw on your hard work!! Mind you, I have cats instead, and they trample over my x-stitch with muddy feet - AND they pull the threads on my "i saved for 5 years to get this" sofa! I've only had the pesky thing for 3 weeks, and it's scratched to bits already! Grr!

  • My little boycat loves to bring in Slow Worms for his mummy! BF was sure it was a snake - he acted like a real girl!

At least your little man has a sense of humour. He only does it because you scream!! :-P

I find DMC 414 pops up quite a lot in charts I've stitched recently. If you won't use it, pop it on Ebay or trade with someone for a colour you would use.

I can't believe how expensive DMC threads are now. I have a full set (in theory!) which I've collected over the years from Ebay and from when my Mum has gone to America on holiday. It's so much cheaper over there. Which makes no sense as they're made in France...
