thanks hun it's DMC 162. a very light turquoise/ blue.
I've had a look and can only find 163.. Bah!

Why do I seem to buy a peculiar mixture of Anchor and DMC...?
Just had a look, have 160 and 161, but no 162, glad you found yours eventually!! :o
I have two boxes of DMC bobbins and one box of Anchor. I write either A or DMC on the cardboard bobbins when I am winding, always have. So there is one area of my lfe that is organized...shame about the rest! ;)

Well, a bit late, but here are the projects I have started/finished this past month...no work done on the Astromoner I am afraid! :o

Here is the coaster I stitched for my sister:

I made a start on the Elegant Lady that Louise stitched...but it must be my eyes and/or the printer...I am really having problems reading the chart:

...and I seem to be stitchng another square for the quilt...much easier and quicker to do!! :)

That's it for the moment...have been painting the kitchen ceiling this morning... it's looking much better now :D. DH is talking about putting up some shelves as well
...only been waiting over a year since he started re-doing the kitchen...which I waited over 13 years for:eek: ! Hey-hoh...better late than never!! ;)

Now have loads of sorting out to do as we are moving onto redecorating the conservatory soon...which means moving the dining table into the kitchen...hence the sorting out of the kitchen this weekend...sooo much to do...and sooo warm today! It's over 30 degrees in the conservatory, so making sorting it out a bit uncomfortable.

Hope you have had a good weekend everyone...have a busy week ahead, working every day...and a trip to hospital on Wednesday with DS2 (first adult diabetic clinic appointment)...which may take some time, so will take the quilt square if I haven't finished it by then!

    I haven't stitched a thing for three weeks :o

But I'm still here, reading everyone else's updates and looking forward to a fortnight off after next week when I hope I should get some good progress made with Max in the Adirondacks.

    Hi
Has anyone used the website "crossstitchworkshop" ?
They have 8metre DMC cottons on sale @ 47p at the moment.
Has anyone had any dealings with them? Would you recommend?
    Thanks
    Pam

I did finish a little cottage cross-stitch given to me by a friend's mother, as she wasn't able to stitch it, so I took it and decided to stitch it and give it back to her. It came with a mount so off to Hobbycraft (no time to shop around :o) to purchase a frame. I hear the mother loves it so that's my work done. ;)
No photo as I didn't think to take one this time.

Next 'at work' project are two Winnie the Pooh Christmas cards, one with Winnie and Piglet (only just started) and a Tigger one (started, but an error made). so these are going to be fun.

On the scarf front, I managed to get some rows in at the weekend and it's looking okay, hopefully something like the pattern...
  • Hi guys hope you don't mind me jumping back in. Things have been hectic here. My FiL is in hospital and will be for many weeks to come, schools are out, holidays, OH was unwell and I went to the darkside for a time too. I haven't finished my bowler yet but to get me back into the swing of things I have completed a couple of cover kits I think once I've finished this one I'll go back to Mr bowler my head should be up to all those half stitches by then. I'll try to have a look back over what I have missed (may just look at the pics!). Hope you are all well I have missed you all x

hey everyone, i hope you're all doing well? i've just popped in to say i've chosen a mini scarecrow sampler for my uncle's birthday - it can be a long card and then framed too - so present and card at once! brilliant idea i thought! and it's super cute too. i started a bit yesterday and am happy though i dont have the right 'ecru' colour i'm hoping to wing it.

and i'm getting to use a wooden 'roller' type sew on frame (no idea how to describe or it's name, sorry!). i picked it up at an animal shelter charity shop for 50p - not sure i've attached it right but it's staying put and it means the stitching wont get squashed under the rim of my hoop. fingers crossed i've not messed it up too much!

~ well done with the rows kezzy~
