Haha, I have done that at least 5 times this week! What a plank :)

I love the lady pic. She's stunning.

The lollypop stick frames are an excellent idea :)

I did some little thingies on plastic canvassy stuff before, and where it said to do fractional stitches, I made a hole with a thin nail and a little hammer right in the middle of the square. Worked fine :) You'd still have to stick a bit of felt on the back to hide the "back side mess".

Right, would love to stop and stitch but it's off to the hospital.... again... Still at least at the weekend you can get it over and done with early in the day, and have some sort of normal life in the evenings...

Be good & enjoy the sunshine x

Back off our hols camping for a week near York - have done the Castle museum, Jorvik, DIG, creepy crawlies play area, Ripon (where dh and I met aaaw)

Me and my DH met in Ripon too... in the Royal Oak. I was a student (college is now a housing estate!) and he's from there. His family are still in Ripon so we visit approx once a month.

Sounds like you had a good time.

  • Louise,

Your Vision at the Lake looks absolutely gorgeous, and so clever hanging it there (which so often becomes dead space) where everyone will see it and appreciate all your hard work!

    All the best,

We were both students there! Went to see the old place and it is all apartments - my room in my 4th year was up for sale as part of an apartment and I was really tempted to ring the agent for a look round!

  • Louise, that's gorgeous and I like it without the mount, as it suits the picture very well, and it's location is perfect!

I like the look of the advent calendar in the new cross stitch mag (received my subscription copy yesterday) and I am thinking of combining the little cross stitch designs with a Christmas felt applique kit I have seen but I'm not sure exactly what felt applique is ??? can anyone enlighten me?

I hope everyone is having a lovely day ! :j

Have been really good and done some of Fillmore (from disney cars) for ds - am trying very hard to get one thing finished before I start another. DH starts his new job with training every night this week so once I've persuaded tinies to go to sleep i can get a couple of hours stitching in most nights :j

Have mostly been unpacking all camping stuff and washing all the grass out of all our clothes!
