    Spooky

Working away on my meerkats - got two little faces done. Cute, but colours are way more boring than I'm used to :)

  • Hi everyone,

I am just starting to get back into cross-stitching after about a year of not doing any, got really fed up after spending ages on a project only for it to come into contact with my son and a permanent marker which my DH left on the table :(

Have just bought a DMC Kit (Winter Kingdom - Mystical Spirit Panda) am enjoying it so far and as it it quite a small kit I am looking for a nice challenging project for my next one :)

Been plodding along with my Hello Kitty this weekend - it really is almost finished. Hope to get it finished by the end of the summer holidays. I'll have to post some pics up when it's finished.

There's some lovely pieces I've seen - everyone is very talented.

Hope you've all had a good weekend and got lots of stitching done :)

    1994-1998 for me.

Most people I speak too have never heard of Ripon. How bizarre that so many people on here met their OH's there!!

DH graduated in 91 and me in 92 - some of Ripon has really changed as well - we got lost in a new part of town with a fatface, argos and booths supermarket then went round a corner and realised we were at the bottom of college road!

But is all ok because the Black Bull hasn't changed at all;)

(sorry to take up valuable stitch thread but I've not heard of anyone else who met in Ripon either!)

I like the look of the advent calendar in the new cross stitch mag (received my subscription copy yesterday) and I am thinking of combining the little cross stitch designs with a Christmas felt applique kit I have seen but I'm not sure exactly what felt applique is ??? can anyone enlighten me?

I hope everyone is having a lovely day ! :j

    Hi Flat Eric,
Which mag was it in? I quite like the sound of an advent calendar. I subscribe to Crazy but I've not had the new issue yet. If it's one of the others I might have to go and have a nosy :)
:xmastree:What a splendid idea, this Christmas sounds fun. I fully endorse it, let's try it at once!:xmastree:
