    Hi all

I posted about 7 weeks ago as I was about to start a picture of George Michael in sepia tones.

It's taken me this long to post an update as for ages I was stitching cream colours on cream aida - not particularly fun.

However I have now started some darker colours and it is now taking shape so here he is:

I'm actually really pleased with the way it's come out on a photo - looks better than it does in real life at the mo!

^^Wow, that's really cool, you can tell it's him already!!:T

I done a sepia pic of Cliff Richard for my mum a few years back....one of the fairly simple ones you get in the Cross stitch mags. She opened it up and said "Oh Donny Osmond - I love him!"

Never stitched a celeb since :o:o:o

Oh dear @ Louise, there really isn't much difference between Cliff and Donny is there?? lol

This one is basically finished, BUT, when I was more or less finished with stitching in the background, I just happened to check my chart again, then I realised that the background should have been stitched with 2 strands and not 1, and as you can see, I just used one strand, and I was so fed up about it and the thought of unpicking the background that I just put it away LOL

Maybe this one will be the best one to get finished as it is more or less done!

Sorry, I can't remember the name of this piece or who it is by, I searched online but couldn't find it, I will look again later :D

As long as you like the look of the background, there's no need to unpick it is there.... I think it looks good :) x

I made a winnie the pooh one (a while ago) where Eeyore was floating in the river... I got all of the blues muddled up in the river. As I am the only one who knows, why change it... It still looks good (on the front!)

Wow, you can really tell it is George Michael already. I think it looks amazing T4mof, well done!

Soulie, I agree with TMIF. As long as you like it then does it matter that you tweaked the pattern? You could always tell people that you had a hand in designing it because you didn't stick with the original instructions :). I think it's really pretty, I like elephants!
:xmastree:What a splendid idea, this Christmas sounds fun. I fully endorse it, let's try it at once!:xmastree:

    Hi ladies.

Dad got on ok yesterday. They have found damage to his arteries but will only fit stents when/if he gets anymore chest pain.
Was very bored as I wasn't allowed bedside with him and Mum so had to sit in the waiting room full of strangers all day. Wasn't too bad as I went and bought a puzzle book (forgot to take one with me) and also got chatting to a fella who lives just a few miles away.
I done nothing all day but was more tired when I got home than if I had spent the whole day being busy!

shelly - I believe C & C will be having some on this week or next? I only managed to catch part of what the presenter was saying lol And I am pretty sure you will be able to get them cheaper for what they will sell them for.

Sorry to ask but can you let me know what this post is about? :o I have gone back through my last few posts but can't make head nor tail of it.

Glad someone else asked (I was tooo embarrassed to admit I didn't know what it related it).

I love tweaking the charts - so long as no one can notice. E.g with these cats being 3 shades of the same colour if I drop a stitch I just make it back with another one (I WILL NOT thread a needle for 1 stitch unless VITAL!)
loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:

    Love in the air ;)

Absolutely no love in the air at all :rotfl:
I have been with hubby for 20 years and very much in love, no-one else even comes close......ok I'd make an exception for James Toseland or David Beckham but the chances of meeting them in a hospital waiting room when hubby isn't about is zilch ;) :rotfl:

You don't need to unpick it at all :D

You either leave it as it is (and it just gives it more of a ethereal background quality) OR you go over the same section with another single strand to double it up.

if I drop a stitch I just make it back with another one (I WILL NOT thread a needle for 1 stitch unless VITAL!)

Pml that made me chuckle.:rotfl: I don't blame you though, if there's lots of confetti stitching, who's to know :D
