Oops, forgot something.
Soulie, that's gorgeous! I love Tigers and have that kit in my stash! I'm thinking about getting a white washable pen for when I start mine or is it not too bad to follow the chart and stitch on black at the same time?:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -

Thank you.
Tigers are my absolute favourite! I have an awesome UFO of a White Tiger running through water, I believe it is called 'White Lighting', that I kinda only did one stitch, then put it down LOL but as White Tigers are my favourite favourites I MUST get around to finishing {starting???} it heh
Personally, I didn't think it was too bad, stitching on to black, but it does help if you have good lighting!
Best wishes to your Dad for today, I hope everything goes well.13 Projects in 2013 Finished: 5 of 13

I've heard those blue light bulbs are good..?
Doing one stitch out of a kit does not really constitute a UFO does it????
Personally I hate getting started on a project - i am so glad when I am about a third of the way through it - so at least when someone asks you can show them what it is without them saying "hmmm, ok!"0 -
:T Wow Soulie, those tigers are beautiful.
I agree about the good lighting. I've got a daylight lamp for when I'm using the black aida. It's fab because I can shine it upwards through the fabric but it's not blinding like a normal bulb.
LOL TMIF, I would say one stitch constitutes a UFO. Technically she has started it, so it is unfinished :rotfl::xmastree:What a splendid idea, this Christmas sounds fun. I fully endorse it, let's try it at once!:xmastree:0 -
Soulie - that is a stunning design, it would be a shame to let it go unfinished .:TCross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219. I am so easily distracted!0 -
Hello Girls
Hope you are all well - I am as well as I can be.
Thought I would share pictures of the patterns I am using for the anniversery stitches I will be doing.
The first one is for my parents - its their 40th anniversery in September. It is taken for Cross Stitch Collection - Issue 1. It is originally used for a wedding sampler but I will alter it to suit.
The second one is for my parents in law 50th wedding anniversery in October. They stay in America. It is taken from an American magazine - Cross Quick and it is from Vol.1, No.1. I will be adapting it too.
I am taking a break from golden earth - here is the latest I have done.
Great seeing how everyone is and how everyone is getting on with their particular stitch.
Kind wishes to you and yours

Thank you Simac, and yes daylight lamps are good, though I do not have one! And yes, I think 1 stitch counts as a UFO, as I did take it out of the plastic and I did actually 'start' it LOL
shelly - I believe C & C will be having some on this week or next? I only managed to catch part of what the presenter was saying lol And I am pretty sure you will be able to get them cheaper for what they will sell them for.
Louise - Thank you, and yes it would be a shame to let it lay unfinished, especailly as all my walls are bare and really need some 'artwork' on them!
chickywiggle - Thank you, it's a great kit to work with IMO, and if I remember correctly some of the money went to the Born Free foundation, so it was killing 2 birds with one stone when I purchased that kit
Okay, here is UFO #2
It's called 'Retrievers' and it's by Janlynn.
I will post the other 2 UFO's later. I did think I only had 4 UFO's taking in to account the 'White Lightning' one which only has 1 stitch {I won't post that one}, but I just found another one in my photobucket account that I forgot about LOL13 Projects in 2013 Finished: 5 of 13
