Please don't judge me - I know I have diabetes and it makes me very tired at times, worrying about everything doesn't help either - I was hoping we could pay for our holiday in October this month but money is short again and I have my glasses to pay for and hubby say he would like contacts instead - don't know how to explain to him we don't have much to do that.

    As if we would!!

If you are knackered - then get yourself back to bed for a couple of hours, nothing worse than trying to get stuff done when you feel exhausted. :( Boring stuff like clothes and dishes can be done when you are feeling more refreshed.

Btw - have you looked into the prices for contacts? They aren't expensive at all, mine are only £13 a month for disposables. I find that easier than paying a lump sum for glasses every couple of years.

Hope you're feeling better soon xx

I haven't as yet ever washed a finished piece and I am so worried about the colours running :o Mind you, they only need a swish about in cold water to get rid of the pen right? Colours wouldn't run in cold water....would they?
    Hey Shelly,
I always wash mine in the washing machine on a 30 degrees c hand wash cycle and they've always come out fine.

For the Quilt square I oversewed the edges as the fabric does tend to come undone at the edges otherwise. Not usually a problem on bigger pieces, as you normally have quite a bit of fabric.

    Hi Girls

Just thought I would pop my head in to say hi.

Not been feeling too great of late - been off work all week (annual leave) and not done a thing. Just feel so very tired all the time. I had so much planned to do.

I think my depression is trying to get into my life again. Take today for example - I didn't get up till 11 took hubby to work at 12:30 came home and now I just want to get back to bed. I have dishes to do - sort out work clothes for tomorrow - was planning on some stitching or sorting out some clothes in wardrobe - need orgainising.

Sorry for moan - I hope you are all well - I am off for a sleep and then after I will do dishes.

    Kind wishes to all

    sweetcarer

PS Well done Louise and Shelly in completing your projects.

Sorry to hear that Sweetcarer, we're all allowed to indulge every now and again, so take a little time out for yourself.

I'm sure the funding issues for your holiday will be okay in the end. *hugs*

Do have a looky online for contacts and glasses. I used an online store for my contacts and all they needed to see was a valid opticians prescription (within the past year).

*louise* - Well done on finishing that lady, she's beautiful and looks like she was a joy to stitch.

I've been back from holiday in Cornwall since Friday, so I've missed last weeks posts, seems you've been on a good ol' natter though. :-)

I managed to stitch for 4 hours on the way down to Cornwall at the start of the holiday, so that's the top left corner complete. I managed a bit on the way home, but not as much as I wanted to, so I've been doing some this weekend.
I'm getting a bit fed up with it, but I also want to get it finished so that I can start a brand new shiny one!

It's been a long time since I started a brand new one! ;)

Hope everyone has been well and enjoying the gorgeous weather?

Here's my pictures from holiday if you would like to see them:

I have been reading everyone's posts but have been too busy to stitch as I'd like. Here's a picture of where I am now.

May your needle stay threaded, your stitches even, and may the goddess keep your tangles far away. :)

I'm No36 in a cross stitch challenge I don't quite understand yet, but my goal is to be done all the stitches on my UFO before Christmastime!

Shouldn't be posting as have marking to complete but am easily distracted! Am loving your lady Louise and Cassolet love this one. One of my friends at stitching club is doing this one and I think I may have to treat myself to it. You are getting on better than she is though as she does more nattering than stitiching :)
I have done a bit more or Rocky point but it's doing my eyes in so have started marking out my Millenium sampler instead. Have ordered one of the markers that someone suggested but until it comes I have been doing running stitch every 10 holes. Think it may take me a while! Can do that though when kids are being noisy and then do rocky point when they are not there! Used her nap time today to mark though and have more to do tonight so am a bit peeved but love my job all the same!

    Happy stitiching everyone!

What about using one of the free alphabet generators? They let you input some text then print out a chart to stitch. I've not used them myself, but there look to be a few available. Here's the first one I found on Google : http://www.stitchpoint.com/eng/tool/alph/_alphabet_generator.php
how much space do you have to play with? depth wise? 2, 5, 10? 20? how big would you like the letters?

    lots here you could use.

Thanks Ladies I now know how to stitch letters so will be able to add their names on Thanks again:beer:

    Hi stitchers

Like sweet carer I come baring apologies. I havent been on here for 2 weeks and havent even managed to pick up any stitching. They put me on some new mood staballisers for my bi polar but I am having a nightmare with them and feel like death warmed up. Problem is I also have a lot of physical health problems too and am on drugs including morphine and these all make a chemistry lab inside me so its trial and error. Todays one of my better days but I cant face eating as I feel so sick, I have dropped to under 7 stone and caught a sickness bug last week as my immune system is so low. I really miss being on here and talking to you guys and I really feel like Im letting you down because Im supposed to keep track of the challenge and its the 11th of the month and first time I have came on.

Despite this, I know you guys will be here waiting when I feel more human. Hugs to everyone who needs them and also to those who brighten up the days of us in need.

    Bubbles.
