I am "working from home" today so that I can molest the poor postman when he arrives...
I ordered myself a new floor frame, and I will be so glad to re-attach my cats pic (my naughty furry coated feline friends broke my last one!).
Remember, it's only a bargain if you would have bought it when it was full price!0 -

I ordered it on 2nd July... still say 'order being picked' on website...
Grr!
I ordered on the 3rd and my order arrived yesterday (sorry!). One item out of stock, but overall quite pleased with what turned up. I got the Day Fairy kit :j:xmastree:What a splendid idea, this Christmas sounds fun. I fully endorse it, let's try it at once!:xmastree:0 -

Hi everyone it's taken me ages to catch up with all these posts - I started reading back in March and although I had a break due to dumping evil ex decided to get back into stitching with a vengeance! I'll get a pic of my current UFO up asap but I'm afraid I have loads and loads of them! I'm currently doing a Lion Rampant flag (but getting really fed up with all the yellow lol) and then need to jump onto a huuuuge one for my dad of a submarine as it's his 75th birthday mid-October and I want to give him this (last year I stitched him a clan crest of our family name and he was over the moon).
On a side note thanks for the info on the wimblebees closing down sale - I've just made an order so hopefully that will be here relatively soon! I bought:
Mirabilia - Queen of Freedom Chart
Mirabilia - Queen Mermaid Chart
Mirabilia - South Seas Mermaid Chart
Mystic Stitch - Queen of Clubs
Mystic Stitch - Queen of Spades
DMC Thread Storage Box
DMC Plastic Thread Bobbins (Pack of 28) x3
Size 24 Nickel Needles (Pack of 10) x2
Heaven and Earth Designs - Sloth
Passione Ricamo - Galatea Chart 1
I was actually hoping if anyone could nudge nidge wink wink me the charts for the Mystic Stitch Queen of Hearts and Queen of Diamonds and/or the other HAED seven deadly sins as I love all of these and hope to get them stitched (obviously very slowly!) at some point
Oh by the way all of your stitches are absolutely gorgeous!!!!NSD November 1/20 :money:
Crap 1, Simple Be, Next, VANQUIS, TESCO, VERY, EMPIRE, ADDITIONS, HALIFAX C/C, HALIFAX LOAN, STUDENT LOAN
Make £10 a day in November £34.57/£450 :eek:0 -
Hurray - they've dispatched my Wimblebees order!!!!!!!!!! Yay.
Why is everyone so obsessed with HAED?
Finally, I've just rescued a huge project from my Gran - she's finally sucumbed to the ArthritisPoor ol' girl - she's 83! It looks like a cheap chinese kit rather than a branded one - does any one know of a good way to test the colour proofness of the thread - it's filthy and I want to pop it in the washing machine, but I am a bit nervous. Once it's clean I will finish it off and frame it for her. (I'll pop a piccy up asap, but basically, it's an old Grannie styl!e Christmas pic).
Advice appreciated... so scared about messing it up.0 -

Just checked mine, despatched too :j
I got my threads today so hope the evenweave hurries up and I can get on with the hsh. Mind you now I have started sorting the threads in unstarted kits I want to get those done. I can't have a job being left half done!
I think the HAED obsession is because they are just gorgeous designs.:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -

Keep an eye on your account incase things start going missing off your order as it's happened to a few of us. My original order was 2 pieces of fabric and some needles but now it seems I am just getting needles and 1 piece of fabric.
Not that there's anything you can do about it but just be aware that you might not get it all.:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -

Personally, I would handwash it, but if you want to put it in the machine then I would select a couple of the darkest threads in the kit, do some stitches on a scrap piece of aida, then pop that in the wash to check if the threads run. If that comes out ok, then you know the rest will be fine.Cross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219.
