Thank you all for your kind wishes - do you mind letting me know how much you pay and where

I go to Specsavers - my lenses used to be only £8 a month but I upgraded to a softer lens, that's why it's now £13 - that's for monthly disposables. (pack delivered every 3 months)

As tellmeitsfriday said, eye tests and lens tests are included in the package, and the scheme also gives good discounts on glasses/sunglasses.

Thanks Maria, I've had it sat around for many years (at least 7) so it needed to be done.

It's meant to be a cushion, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to make it up into one, as I have no sewing machine and am not too good at free hand sewing.

Though I'm going to give it a try. :o

Hi Have you tried fabric glue? My dd used it at school in textiles to make a cushion as they didn't have enough machines to go around. Maybe worth a try on some scrap first.

Good news, very good news, excellent news indeed

Ofsted are NOT coming until at least September 2011 (unless they feel the need next academic year - which they may well do when they see our results)

I can feel my whole body, mind and soul relaxing and an awful lot of stitching coming on:j

There is 21 pages to this chart (I got the small font) so my aim is 2 pages per month, 1 for this month. Therefore hoping to complete by May 2011.

Yes, I'm still waiting but I had to change the delivery address as I'm on holiday, so was told it went back into picking again

Since found out my neighbour who I asked for it to be delivered to is going away for a few days, so no idea what will happen to it now :o

Yep, exactly the same here. Ordered on 2nd and it's 'currently being picked'. Been being picked since at least friday though.

While I am waiting for both wimblebees and thread order I decided to sort out the threads for all my unstarted kits. It's a job I don't enjoy much when starting a new kit because I just want to get on with the stitching.
Anyway, I started sorting the threads in one particular kit and after 2 minutes the air was blue! :rotfl:
It must use every shade of green there is! Also with the yellows the chart lists 5 shades, I only had 3! I stared at the yellows for an hour trying to find 2 lengths that differed from the rest but no luck.
In the end I left them alone, had tea and watched the soaps. I then thought I'd have one last look before heading up to come on pc (hubby was out for evening) and would you believe it I found them straight away!

Oh the joys of cross stitching :D

oh and when hubby got home he was like a kid on xmas morning. Apparently Mike Tyson is in our nearest city for one of those 'Evenings With' this week and he decided to have his dinner at the same indian restaurant that hubby was in last night.
I'll admit I didn't believe him at first so had to google :rotfl:
:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:

Luckily my Wimblebees' order arrived on Fri, about 5 days after ordering. One item was out of stock but they reduced the total invoice (actually I must check my bank statement to see what they actually took!).

It was like Christmas, I ordered stuff that I wouldn't pay full price for such as that nice beige evenweave, a small over-priced kit etc. NOW just got to find some more storage space in my office/craft room/guest bedroom (it's tiny !)

    Linda ;)
