Personally, I would handwash it, but if you want to put it in the machine then I would select a couple of the darkest threads in the kit, do some stitches on a scrap piece of aida, then pop that in the wash to check if the threads run. If that comes out ok, then you know the rest will be fine.
She's spilt tea on it, and one if the grandkids has scribbled on it in biro too - I am not sure hand washing in warm water would work. I might try that first though...0 -

Right can someone explain something to me - not sure if it's already been asked here or not sorry
I'm very wary of using evenweave and instead want to stick to aida. I understand that if somethings 32ct evenweave it'll be 16ct aida but will the size of material required change? Also is it possible to do this with all charts etc or will I run into problems? Thanks in advance

Are they still in your basket when you check your account? If they have removed them they don't tell you at all, you just don't see them under your orders anymore.
Hopefully it just means they are out of stock on the site but you still have them in your basket?Right can someone explain something to me - not sure if it's already been asked here or not sorry

I used this site recently when working out size of evenweave needed compared to aida http://celticroseneedlecraft.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=8&Itemid=13
From what I can make out the fabric size is the same in aida as it is for evenweave so long as you use the same counts....ie 16ct aida/32ct evenweave.
I did a quick test by using 200x200 stitches, an inch extra then 16/32 ct and fabric needed came out the same size.
I also believe you can change fabrics for any and all charts. I recently asked about using evenweave instead of aida for a design I am re-starting and wasn't warned not to....in fact most ladies here prefer evenweave:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -

You can use whatever fabric you like... 28ct evenweave is the same as 14ct aida (as long as you remember to do it over 2 holes!)
I am in love with dyed linen at the moment.... (when I've finished the cats, I will be doing something on it)
