Seeing someone mention MrsMcCawber, has anyone heard from her? She's not been on here for a loooooooong time, hope she's okay and not fallen out with her stitching?

I was thinking the same thing this morning. Looking back at this thread she last posted here in May but has been on the site since then so I assume she is ok....probably just not stitching?!?

I was going to PM her but didn't want to seem like a stalker  :rotfl:

i tried PM'ing her to ask if she was ok and if we'd upset her a few weeks ago but no reply.

you guys with the largeeeee designs have far to much patience but they do look amazing when finished.

I visited her profile and she's been very active in a couple of threads elsewhere in the Forum, so I think we are safely assured that everything is okay.

I had a phonecall this morning - I'm being offered a house! (ok it's a one bedromed groundfloor flat, but you know what I mean!)....they will contact me again tomorrow to arrange for me to see the place.
I seem to have been the only person to put their name down for it (we get told the street but not the house number) and I'm wondering if other people know something I don't! I'm half expecting to see blood-stains on the wall and the police digging up the back garden!( I need to change the films I watch!)....Or maybe no-one else applied because this is 'my' new home, and it's meant for me! (Try and stay positive!)

Maybe I need to reassess my new projects....maybe include a nice cushion for my new home!

Ecru on cream... yeah, I can imagine that would be a bit of a headache. Glad you got to move on! :)

    ...what is "confettii stitching"?
May your needle stay threaded, your stitches even, and may the goddess keep your tangles far away. :)

I'm No36 in a cross stitch challenge I don't quite understand yet, but my goal is to be done all the stitches on my UFO before Christmastime!

    Hi
Dont know if this will put your mind at rest (or the spoks lol) but I woek for a housing trust and we do not give numbers either until offers are made, this is because we dont want people gong and looking around the outside and in the windows before viewing. We have had a couple of people knocking at doors asking to look before the present tneants have given notice and are still living in there or peeping in winows! imagine watching tv and a face is looking at you through the window now that would give me the spooks lol!!:rotfl::rotfl:

Wow, what a fantastic match Louise that was! :T...shame someone had to lose. Felt so sorry for Mahut, being made to stay on for the presentation...looked like he was in tears at times! Methinks there might be some form of Tie-Break in the final set brought in now...I would go for one when 15-15 is reached....not many get to that (mind you there has been a 16-14 this week!), but it's there to stop the really long matches. Got a bit of stitching done, but had to do some unpicking, all fine now...should finish it tonight, and will post a piccie. Your lady looks wonderful...I wouldn't mind a nudge-nudge of it sometime. :D

Good luck with the house/flat Prinzessilein!! A new cushion would be a great idea for your next project.
I have two or three potential designs for ones myself, .....will choose one once we have decided on the overall "new" colour scheme (our sitting room soooo needs re-decorating!!) :D

Luckily only had a relatively small amount of cream to stitch...but when you have an eye on the tennis, things can go awry!!

cassolete- Confetti stitching is where there is only one or (if you are lucky) just a few squares of the same colour in an area...so you are constantly re-threading and finishing off...you spend so much time preparing rather than actually stitching...can be quite frustrating, but usually gives a great result. :D

Tea's nearly ready...enjoy the lovely evening, still 23 in the shade here!! ...there is talk of 30 degrees on Sunday.... Oh well, most folk will be inside watching some match or other...cricket for me...but isn't there some football about too?!!
