PS Ruth - I will share my tea with you if I can have a malteasser :)

Hmmm....I'm a bit rubbish at throwing. If I aim for Wales, I might hit Scotland. Ready...???...catch! (ooops, think I hit a sheep!) :rotfl:

    Hello, helpful cross stitch buddies!

I am wondering if any of you use a floor stand for your scrolls. I own a scroll (as you probabaly saw in my picture, hah) and I am thinking about giving myself a six-months-early birthday present like this one:....

Oh yeah, I forgot, I'm not allowed to post links yet. Okay, that's no matter. My local Joan Fabrics has a Deluxe Hardwood Scroll Frame Floor Stand.Any advice? Is it as useful as it seems? Are there any features I ought to be holding out for?

    Thanks kindly!
I use this one: http://www.sewandso.co.uk/ran1170-0.html which rest the frame on the stand. I prefer to use it for larger pieces of work, as I can then stitch with both hands.

The only issues I have with it is that it doesn't quite come forward enough, so I usually have a pillow behind me to bring me forward.

I also bought the lamp attachment as well and that's very useful when you need to see what you are doing.

He doesn't want to identified for legal reasons, in fact he may sue you for hitting him with a malteser. Can't understand why you went via Wales to get to Scotland.

:rotfl:Have you lot been on the booze before the football starts???

Almost everyone has gone home from work early to watch it, it's very lonely in here now! Just logged on to catch up and I was greeted with the scariest looking sheep I've ever seen LOL.

Happy stitching everyone, do a few for me will you please so I don't fall too far behind!
:xmastree:What a splendid idea, this Christmas sounds fun. I fully endorse it, let's try it at once!:xmastree:

No booze (yet! Might crack open that cider later, though) & not planning on watching the football either. Got my afternoon planned-watching Josh Duhmel in Las Vegas on DVD for a few hours & stuffing my face with junk food. Might well fall asleep on the sofa. At least it's nice & cool in here. Scorching hot in the garden!

I am stuck in my office - typing up reports on fire extinguishers of all things - boss on holiday so popping on computer in between times - relives the boredom of it all.

Won't be watching game - not an England supporter. But will have to listen out for scores for the lads I work with (I work with 7 men and one woman in our wee department).

We all need cheering up from time to time and if a wee scary sheep can do it then why not - just watch out for Ruth and her throwing of maltesers .....
