    Hi guys

I know I keep going disapearing frequently. Im really sorry, its just some days I struggle to even get out of bed and everything seems too much. Im really sorry, if someone wants to take over doing the list because I keep letting you down, then I understand.

I have done quite a bit stitching at times though. I made this for my sister in law, it was a gift tag to go with her hamper. She really liked it all, especially the photo mug I got her for 1.99 through a truprint offer! Eeyore was her favourite until then. My parents were jealous as I only spent the 1.99 and they bought everything else and mine were the big hits! Just shows its not all about money. Anyway here it is:

    P1010296.jpg

    P1010295.jpg

And my treble clef is nearly finished. Just got to finish the butterflies and then do all of the backstitch which is going to be a nightmare. I always said I was going to stitch it twice, once for me and once for my niece but when I had my "wanting to rip it in half" moment I decided to just do it the once but since then it has much improved and my niece has fallen in love with it. So I am considering stitching it again but, because Im an idiot, on black for her birthday. I think black would really made the colours pop but know it would be a nightmare. It is subject to change though, wont be able to afford the aida for weeks and if the backstitch is really bad might have changed my mind again! Anyway here it is:

Those bagpuss card kits are actually fairly large and detailed. I know they were more than £4.99 each before they were discontinued. I have several in my stash, but I'm afraid they won't be going on ebay. I love Bagpuss and they *will* get stitched eventually.

What I meant is that it was 4.99 and said on the front it was from cross stitcher magazine. In my brain card kits means from magazine. I think its a bit of a rip off to sell the free kit for more than the cost of that and the magazine. Its nice that there are other bagpuss fans on here, its weird cos I hate cats (apart from Mary, our neighbours as she comes and kisses my dog!) but love bagpuss and the cheshire cat. I have a bagpuss toy in my car! Thanks for the evenweave, I was shocked at how small the holes are! Going to use it for the coasters I bought and maybe a bookmark. Thanks so much for sending it.

Evening everyone and many thanks for the welcome. I've managed to get some pictures of my current project thanks to DH. It's called Elgol and is a mountain range on the Isle of Skye. I haven't been able to do much cross-stitch this weekend as I've been in Nottingham for a party without DS

Bubbles911, thanks for adding me as a member. Please could you put Elgol down as my project to finish by the end of June.

Here is a picture of where I'm at with this project.

And here is a picture of the finished article so as you can see I've not got much to do

I have added your challenge to the list. Elgol is absoloutly stunning. I love the colours of it, it looks so picturesque.

Afghan completed, names stitched, hemmed, washed and ironed!!

I was up till 5am last night (gifted it today), but luckily Britains got talent final was on during the night so I had company

Sister's fince is quite taken with my stitching and wants me to teach him how to do it - have found the perfect small pic he can stitch and put birth details on for the baby

Louise your afgan is stunning. Im so glad they were pleased with it. And its fantastic that her partner is wanting to learn, I can never understand why more men arent interested in it. My dad loves watching me do it and when I try to tell him to try I get a grunt and Im a man before he leaves the room!

just thoght I'd share my exicting news.... I have finally been discharged from the hospital after 3 horrible outpatient weeks and back to me again!!!!!!! YAYAYAAYYYA

The bad news............ back to work tomorrow so less time to chat.
Please try not to talk tooo much or I'll have to spend my evenings catching up again and have less time for stitching.

Thats great news chicky, shame you havent got a few days to pull yourself together though.

    update time everybody

    last week

    this week

feel abit down today but im not sure why which makes it worse

I hope you feel better soon. I have been the same for the last few days. I just feel so low and cant put my finger on why. Everything just seems too much effort. I just feel like crying all the time yet nothing has happened to make me feel this way. I hope we both feel better soon.

I want to make a cross stitch picture of an opera singer for my d-i-l, who is one. I can adapt a picture of another singer if suitable. I am finding it very hard to find any charts of singers. Lots of instruments yes but no singers. I will pay if suitable chart exists.

    Hi ladies.

Does anyone have any charts that have the words on 'if you sprinkle when you tinkle please be sweet and wipe the seat'
I think I remember some one having one with a bear on it?? Could I have a nudge please?

I know I am always asking and never seem to give, but no-one wants the charts I have :o :rotfl:

    Thanks

this is exactly how i feel spoke to mum today and she thinks its because the kids have gone back to school after having a week off and i miss them like mad would much rather have them with me all the time, takes me a while to get used to not having them around all the time and the house being soooo quiet. so i'll be ok again in a few days lol

can everyone cross there fingers for no more rain today really want to finish painting my fence only have the gate left to do and everytime i pick up the brush it starts to rain lol
