    Evening everyone and many thanks for the welcome. I've managed to get some pictures of my current project thanks to DH. It's called Elgol and is a mountain range on the Isle of Skye. I haven't been able to do much cross-stitch this weekend as I've been in Nottingham for a party without DS :j

    Bubbles911, thanks for adding me as a member. Please could you put Elgol down as my project to finish by the end of June.

    Here is a picture of where I'm at with this project.

    on the 27th of June I'll have been with my fianc! for 2 and a half years so I'm doing a little design for us, I'll get some pics up soon, Its a surprise so I'll be having to stay up when he goes to bed and sew sew sew lol :D

    Afghan completed, names stitched, hemmed, washed and ironed!!

    I was up till 5am last night (gifted it today), but luckily Britains got talent final was on during the night so I had company :D

    Sister's fince is quite taken with my stitching and wants me to teach him how to do it - have found the perfect small pic he can stitch and put birth details on for the baby :)

    Dorastar - take care of that wrist, you dont want repetitive strain or anything nasty. have you tried wearing a support from the chemist?, or even poundland!

    ohhhhhhhhh that is AMAZING and made me more determined to do one, hope my ebay sales go well next weekend then I can treat myself, can't believe how expensive it is just for the cloth!!

    I sense a bidding war for the ones on ebay.... race you.....


    on a diffferent note I have decided Discworld is my next set of books to tackle so if anyone wants to get rid of any.....am fed up of read it swap it at the mo no-ones accepting any of my swaps!!!! If anyone has any of the series (apparently there are now 30+ ARGGG that'll take me a few years) and would like to check out my RISI account (I have the shopaholic set to go on at some point if you wanted them) or if you can do em at postage cost let me knowwww PLEAASSSEEE

    my kit for my square of the charity quilt has come!! :j
    that's my evening sorted, and quite a few to come i imagine at my stitching rate!

    i've got out the chart i printed and actually noticed that there are 29 french knots!! i'm doing 'I', which is a pixie. wish me luck!

    Chickywiggle good luck on reading all the discworld books . My sons have those but they won't part with them i just asked. His actual response was i'd sooner go shopping naked in asda than give up my books . Think that was a no then. lol He got quite a few as gifts but did get a couple of job lots really cheap on ebay.


    Louise that really is beautiful. I'd love to do one just like it.
