Bubbles that treble clef is beautiful - but scary starting on black! Brave lady.

No stitching today apart from being taught how to do french knots - just got to get round to doing them on the quilt square now. Am hoping to get quilt square done by end of weekend and fillmore is already started so quite proud of myself so far.

M-i-l gets her bouquet and matching cross stiched vase full tomorrow so desperate to see her face when she has them both together.

Oh my goodness I did lol very very hard at myself then :D I read your comment usignulo and thought you had just typed the age in wrong and meant to put something else, and then I read your comment Bubbles and thought... 'you read it again and felt like a wally'...why?? What am I missing, I then sat here and read it a few times and realised You have a D-I-L who is one...an opera singer! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Oh I really should get some more sleep :o

Thats a lovely gift tag Bubbles and the treble clef is really coming on isnt it!

Im so glad that Im not the only one! Its too much stitching frying our brains!

Oh and I found out the other day my DF hasn't seen 'The Witches' film (the Roald Dahl one) so I secretly ordered it and just waiting for it to arrive. We were talking about children/family films that are a bit scary...like return to oz lol

OMG return to Oz used to scare me something rotten! When she would swap heads, uurgh! I loved tik tok and jack pumpkin head! Cant believe he has never seen it, it was one of my favourite childhood films, along with the original oz, et, labryinth and the princess bride.

    Hi Bubbles,
I haven't forgotten the chart I'd said I'd send you. Been really busy and forgotten to take it into work. Away for the next 2 days so will try to remember to do it Friday.
    Hope you're feeling better soon.

    Jude x

Thats no problem at all, their is no rush. Hope you enjoy your time away.
Wow bubbles the treble clef is fab i love it. I'd love to see it stitched on black i bet the colours would really stand out.

Quick question . I'm doing my calendar bears and can't decide weather to backstitch each one as i finish stitching it as i did with the first bear or wait and do it all at the end. What would you do ?

Emzy that looks like a good one to stitch. Thanks for the link to the coasters too.

Big hugs to maria and anyone else who needs them.

I am having a nightmare back stitching the treble clef so I would do it as you go. I intended to do that but kept putting it off.
craftgranny - defo as you go along.... I couldn't imagine the stress of leaving it till the end.

Bubbles - will hunt out the chart after pizza (mmmmmmmmmmm) You are doing a fab job with the lists. I know how hard it is I have to try and keep up with the £365/ year one and we are already on 8th June and I haven't updated for last month yet!! Hope you feel better soon.

Re: the opera singer quote..... I read it as 1 year old too - trying to work out how a 1 year old could be soo interested in singing.... being a singer themselves actually does make more sense tho.

and I'm sure I had more to reply too but pizza's hereere byeyeyyeyeyeyyee

Mmmm pizza, my mum treated me to a pizza and cheesy chips for the britians got talent final on saturday. It was lush. Seems like we all thought the same about the opera singer!

I only stitch so quick cos I have nothing else to do. It must be the time to feel down and not know why as a few of us seem to feel that way. Hope you feel better soon.

Please try not to talk tooo much or I'll have to spend my evenings catching up again and have less time for stitching. :D
    Pops in :silenced:

Is it safe to talk - don't want to disturb.

I have a bagpuss toy in my car!

    Snap - so do I! :cool2:

Been trying to do some stitching but the cat keeps jumping up on me - facinated by the treads - nearly clawed my frame - silly puss.

    Kind wishes to all.

*somewhere* I have a UFO of this design: http://www.sewandso.co.uk/cgi-bin/find/db.cgi?db=zoom&uid=&Prod_Code=56338&ww=on&do=search_results
if I ever find it, I'll let you know and you can have a copy :) I love the cinnamon cat range! I want to do so many of them it's unreal :D

Sorry I've not been posting much recently: I've hardly been doing any sewing at all :o I've got a little more done on the birth sampler, but not enough to warrant an update. I'll be on holiday soon, so hoping to get a bit more done then (baby allowing!). I do have a really cute tortoise blackwork picture I want to do for a friend, so probably will be starting that soon, as well as the cat and flowers pic I linked to ages ago, which I want to do for my MIL for christmas (which someone told me was only 198 days away today) :p

I'm loving everyone elses pics though! *Hugs* to all who need them or would just like one :)

    Afternoon everyone,

Just popping in to say hello.

I'm loving everyone's work. It's certainly inspiring me to dive into the sewing box once I've finished my Open Uni course in October.

I've had a look on sew adn so - big mistake, as I could have spent a fortune on kits. If anyone likes All Our Yesterday kits, check out fayes website.
