shelley - let us know if you find a white fabric pen. I will have to get one for future projects if such a thing exists. I have a 'Tiger on a rock' on black fabric which is gorgeous but I haven't attempted yet.
Squishy - looing forward to seeing some pics
MRSM - glad to see you have your 'order of projects' sorted. No way would I have stitche the black around that Santa either :rotfl:
Btw - re. 'vision at the lake'...I have been working for photocopies, the original chart is still intact, I don't mind sending it to you once I've finished it if you decide you want to stitch it x
harley1 - thanks for the tip. Hope you get all your own stuff listed in time
kezbabybabe - it's pretty easy really, once I have the blocks marked it's a case of starting in one section and methodically working through it all. No backstitch or fractions means it's not fiddly, just time consuming
searching_me - I think that's great!! I love the close up and far away views, and think it will be great when it's stitched up. I look forward to seeing it
pennib - I would deffo recommend getting the pen! GEt hubby to teach you how to upload the pics, you will need to do it often as we're a nosey lot on here (in a good way lol)Cross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219. i can never make them smaller for some reason .. but as a basic idea what you think?? x
Wow SM. That is brilliant. Well done you, bet you're very proud of yourself.
Shelly, like the idea of the 'fade away' pen as I don't often wash my stitching. Especially if it is only the stitching that will be seen. I will have to take a look for one next time I go shopping. Thanks for the info.
Louise, few bits listed but still a load to go. I could sit here for a week and still not have time to get rid of everything but I'm hoping to get it done in batches.

Sorted through my kits (didn't realize I had that many, mainly freebies from X-stitch mags).
Found a part-done Bucilla kit "I love my Garden", so been working on it today. I will post piccies later once I have done some more work. This will get me into stitiching mode before I embark on my H&E Astronomer. I might have a go at finishing a couple or more UFOs as well...piccies later...I promise!
Wow Louise, your picture is amazing!! I have just realized, that the Astronomer is 525 by 350 stitches, so it too will be huge! Mind you 'Vision at the Lake' is so complex with its subtle shades. I think breaking things up into smaller sections is a good idea. Do you use a hoop or an frame? I can't see much evidence of either from your pictures.
Taking a break from sewing now to go and do a bit of tidying up in the garden...a few plants got damaged with all the snow. Might supervise my DS2 to do most of the heavy-duty lopping and cutting back, saving my back!
Will return soon with some piccies.....

Hi everyone,
I adore the lady by the lake, love to do it but fear it would take me years:eek:
I've managed to get some of my finished stitching on mobile me. Link is

This is what I've done since digital camera era. I've only got prints of everything before that.
Will try to get an update of the tigers I'm doing.
Decided against using cross stitch workshop and went back to sewandso and ordered supplies for the next 3 projects.
Was hoping to get the tigers finished in the next couple of weeks but my little one has seen the baby orangutan in the latest issue of cross stitch collection and is desperate for me to do it asap, so when the threads and fabric arrive this week I'll have to start that.
Happy stitching

I use a lap clipframe, I got this one from sewandsew:
http://www.sewandso.co.uk/cgi-bin/find/db.cgi?db=zoom&do=search_results&Prod_Code=28834&ww=1
It's really good for bigger projects, I find a hoop is awkward when there is so much excess fabric, plus I can use both hands to stitch with the frame which is quicker.
There is also the bonus that there are no marks on the fabric, and I don't have to worry about distortion.Cross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219. Judellie - Great pictures!!
I have also done the vase of flowers that you have on there - gave it to my MIL as a housewarming present lol. I LOVE the scenic view with the trees, can I ask what's the title of that one and where is it from???
And that otter is just brilliant!:TCross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219.
