Hi Ladies.
Haven't done as much stitching this week as I would have liked.
On Tuesday I had to put it down for a while to rescue a Starling fledgling out of the small pond we have (it has a net over it but somehow the fledgling got under the edge of the net) then yesterday I wanted to get the ironing done, so I have done some but not as much as usual.
Not sure if any will get done next week as hubby is off work for the week.
Louise, congrats to your family on the new arrival!
sweetcarer, glad your Mum is home.
Bubbles, how very brave of you to put your story into words.:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -

BUBBLES good luck for today. After reading your story, I can't believe they are thinking of finding you fit for work! Yes, there are some real scroungers out there who are faking it, but you are so obviously not one of them.
And your angel is beautiful; I wish I had the patience to stitch like you!Aspire not to have more but to be more.

Hi everyone. Wel just got back from the tribunal. They have adjorned it for 28 days (or the nearest hearing to the 28) to allow my doctor to write a report and to get further reports as I now have a bipolar specialist. I barely slept last night and felt so sick all day. There was a female doctor who was lovely and understanding and a male barrister who was a specialist in benefits and eployment law. He was hard but they decided that through no fault of my own welfare rights let me down (I showed them a letter from them agreeing to represent me and he said the woman was next door representing someone else!) so he adjourned it, he said its the first time he has ever agreed one but in the interests of justice it had to be done. So its not all done and over but its the best I could hope for after being so badly let down.
I feel so drained now. I have skim read peoples posts and I am overwhelmed that so many people have read my story and that it has touched you all. I will post properly later as I feel so sick and tired I cant think straight.Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member No 2 :j

Happy First Anniversary Louise....hope you have a lovely day.
Bubbles - Good Luck for today, you really deserve to be treated much better...hope things can get sorted soon.
You are so brave writing your letter, I am sure it has helped you though. I found writing helped me with my depression last year...but sewing has helped me the most on my way to emerging from the darkness. In fact, anything creative, which gives you focus while working it, and has an end-product, so you have a great sense of achievement when you finish it.
Only on here for a short while, was at work 9-1 this morning and will be back from 4.30 to 8pm tonight...haven't done a split-shift for ages...still, at least the hours are mounting up!
May do some sewing this aftrernoon for a while, or may lie down and put my feet up for a while and commiserate with DS2. Apparently AS Maths was a bit hard today!!
As to the communal stitiching project, I quite like the house one too. Are we going to do anything about cards??
Talking of Challenges:
JUNE:
No 13 Keiss 21 Complete the two quilt squares; design and make a singing bookmark/card for niece and hopefully finish the second chart page of The Astronomer
Not much then!! I also want to make a couple of cushion-covers for my lil sis, as well as a couple of machine-sewn patchwork cushion covers for us here (using cheap fleece throws I got last month.
Right, off to check out some designs for my niece...and get the squared paper out....
