I'm away on holiday in a couple of weeks time to Fuerteventura for 2 weeks:j(I'm just praying the ash clouds stay away at least until I get there). I intend to take my quilt square with me and one of my UFO's although I'm not convinced I'll get that much done but I'll try.

stitch on the plane!? i did the other month to Gran Canaria. :D

Thank you! We will be celebrating. I'm off to get my hair cut soon, then meeting hubby for lunch in London, then going to see QI being filmed. Glad it's cooled down outside as we'll be waiting outisde the studio in the sun. Better pop some water in my bag!

23rdspiral - sorry not sure which crescent moon colour - if you let me know I will have a look to see if I can find which colour I used??

sorry, i wasnt clear at all was i?! I mean the colour marked with a cresent moon on the chart, i think you did it dark green but on the chart its just another creamy-ish colour (the third one, so i'm thinking i'll switch it!) it's the main colour on the bottom left if that helps more!

CONFESSION: i went food shopping in Mo&&isons after work. got most of the weeks food on reduction - so what that it's sunny!? we are having beef stew and yourkies tonight (meat down to 1 quid, all veg at 19p and 15p for the puds!:D and 15p steak pies tomorow, with 9p brocoli ect... :D).... the relevance of all this? ........ i saved enough on the food to justify buying this months No1 Crossstitcher! :rotfl: :T

i reckon its justified as there are 3 projects on the cover i'd love to do, don't you? (outline cards, HOME vintage style cushion & shabby style badges). I also thought i might be able to redress my karma on here if you get my drift. ;):)

23rdspiral - aah now I know what you mean its supposed to be dmc 3840 which is a palish(sp?) blue but yes I changed it to a sort of minty green colour dmc 503 - hope that helps. (p.s. can I come shopping with you - fab bargains!!)

Have blogged my latest stitching again the pattern is just out of a magazine - keep looking at all the lovely Lizzie Kate ones and trilogy just cant choose!!! One of the girls on here mentioned the nut house - that looks good and would be quite suitable for our house:-) x

Feeling slightly less ranty today cos 1 car is foxed but noe dh's car is in the garage for the forseeable future - lots of little jobs which are going to trun into big jobs if not dealt with. Luckily f-i-l has said he will pay for everything that needs doing as we are skint :( but hate feeling reliant on other people. Dh has got a job interview on Friday though so if you have any good vibes going spare he could do with them then.

Stitching - fairies VERY nearly done - two wings and a titichy bit of backstitching and got threads to finish m-i-l's flowers off so that's tonight sorted!

well sheffield hobbycraft had quite a few cross stitch kits, some big £50 ones reduced to £30ish. a few small charlies ark ones at £9.99 and a few christmas stockings (again around the £30 reduced mark).

    No cheap aida or anything.

I had a good ratch thro and although would have happily spent £200 came away empty handed. (can you see my halo).

and nmm where's the one in Cumbria??? come on own up where's it hidden??

I have the chart of the nut house. It's by Waxing Moon-the same as the Everyone brings Joy chart I've just finished. PM me if you...oh, you know the drill! :)

Started typing a message earlier and then lost it!
Thanks for all the anniversary messages. We had a great day. Lovely lunch at Gabriels Wharf, then off to watch QI being filmed. The guests were Sean Lock, Dara O' Brien and Chris Addison. I'm sure A LOT of it will get cut out because the new series will be shown before the watershed, but it was very funny. New series due to start around September and there'll be more episodes, so it'll run for 4 months, so Stephen Fry told us. Last night was episode 9 (series 8-H) and will be shown around Halloween.
