Welcome to the thread, and an extra special welcome because you love George Michael - me too!!! I went to see him twice on the last tour, was there the first night and cried when he came on as I never thought I would see him live! I cant wait to see how you get on with stitching him. I have got a pattern of frank sinatra in cross stitcher magazine which Im hoping to attempt soon. Anyway, welcome!

Thank you!! I got to see him 3 times on his tour and like you, never thought I'd see him live. I even flew to Dublin to see him - 10p flights and £50 tickets were too much to resist! I ended up on the second row and he was almost in touching distance.

Anyway pressure is on to make a good job of this cross stitch now there's another fan on here :)

Think you're treble clef is coming on really well.

I finished stitching it about 5pm today. Not had time to frame it as DH gets home at 6pm and I needed to have a quick bath.
He's decided as we're out all day tomorrow, we should exchange cards & gifts tonight. He's bought me a lovely bronzed glass heart necklace. Sooo pretty! Also a little 'Wife' token thingy to keep in my bag/pocket/etc. Off to find a gift bag to put the stitching in now. Hope he likes it...:)

hope hubby likes it. have a great anniversary! which is worth celebrating as well as finishing your piece!! :T

    Hya all,

Well, less than a week to go before the end of the month....and I might even achieve my target, which is to finish page one and get through over half of page two of the Astronomer.

Here is where I am now:

    DSCF0206.JPG

I may get half way through the second page, though I haven't done any stitching for two days . At least the temperature has gone down so I can sit in the conservatory for more than a few minutes before wilting!! :D

Thanks Bubbles for all your hard work and (((hugs))) to you for all your troubles, hope you manage to come through OK.

I love the idea of making cards for each other, both birthday and christmas.

My birthday is in November...and it is a BIG one this year (50!)...I hope to have a party at the local cricket club (cheap and out of the village, so no neighbours to complain of the noise!!). I had my 40th there, which was a great success...so hoping for the same this year.

Have a great week stitching folks, still working out my June Challenge...want to finish page 2 of the Astronomer, as well as completing the two quilt squares, as well as making a Well Done card/bookmark for my niece who passed her Grade 1 in singing...she is 9 and her mum (my lil' sis') is convinced she can't really sing ;).

I'm having a few problems finding a nice singer piccie, so I am in the process of designing my own...might have something to show you next week. We are all meeting up on the 19th June, so I must have it done my then....

Off to get some more seeds sown..if it'd not one kind of sowing, it's another!!

Morning everyone - I'm creeping in a bit embarrassed to say that I've hardly done any cross stitching in the last 2/3 weeks:o I've just been so busy with work and decorating that I'm shattered at the end of the day.

I'm away on holiday in a couple of weeks time to Fuerteventura for 2 weeks:j(I'm just praying the ash clouds stay away at least until I get there). I intend to take my quilt square with me and one of my UFO's although I'm not convinced I'll get that much done but I'll try.

Bubbles - My mum started the clef as well but she found the backstitch a bit daunting as most of the individual flowers are outlined with backstitch. I think she's decided that it will look ok without the outline but just using the backstitch to do the detail inside each flower.

Everyone is doing really well and I do drop in most days to have a wee lookie to see the updates.

Well, I'd better get back to work. Have a nice day everyone and I hope the sun keeps shining where you are (unfortunately it's turned cold and grey here).
