awww Isla is lovely, and what a lovely name as well :D lovely pictures on her blanket :) and you put it in the washing machine :faints: I would be so panicy:eek::eek:
umm sorry for being a twit but what do you do with the back of the blanket to tidy up the back of the cross stitch?

I didn't do anything. I'm a bit OCD so it was almost as neat as the front :rotfl:. That was the first thing my friend looked at - she also cross stitches but she readily admits the backs of hers are not pretty!

I will admit to standing by the washing machine willing the colours not to run. I didn't dare ring my friend to ask if I could go over until it'd come out clean :)

Bubbles the birthday/christmas card idea sounds lovely, id love to take part in that :) and id like to do the stitch stash one too :)

Mags-cat Isla is beautiful and the afghan is great too, and well done on getting the back so neat! I think iot will be a while before I get the courage to stitch something where people can see the back permantly.

Erics mum I did lol at that comment :D

Nmm well done! i haven't tried washing a cross stitch piece yet so i hope when i do it turns out well too. :)

Well the threads in the lions were cheap chinese ones, so i think you'll be perfectly safe with branded stuff :)

Mags, i can picture you next to the machine, must've been nerve wracking :rotfl: Looks lovely though, congrats :)

I started it two years ago - but it has spent much of that time in a cupboard :rotfl:. Probably take about as long again to finish :)

The original artwork is by an American artist here. The pattern is a cut down version of the orignal, thank goodness!

If you want I have a bluetooth connection for my laptop so if you want to text me the photos of your stitching I can upload them for you? If you let me know I will text you my number.

As for the I stitch therefore I stash design, if everyone who wants it pms me your email address I will try and get it scanned in and sent out tomorrow.

Thanks bubbles- i'll have another look tonight for the cable (while waiting around for Lost to air). If i cant find it then i'll pm you my mobile number.

I would love if you could email me the chart (i'll save it for after my quilt square tho). Do you still have my email or should i drop you another pm.

Also i saw you mention you probably wont stitch it as you dont have a stash- i got 100 cheapo skeins for £8 in tkmax so i dont mind sharing with you- as long as you dont need browns/ beige- i need them for sewing 2 more beaver scout awards next year

Not much done on Golden Earth been working on the big quilt. Enjoying the change from all the confetti stitching.

Went to see mum - looking better but still on drips.

Bubbles well done you in leaving the house for aconcert - I am not to comfortable in crowds so I understand.

Like the idea of the cards - why couldn't we do a secret Santa - gives us plenty of time for Christmas (we are now halfway through year and might of missed some peoples birthdays).

Kitten is here and the name is Sam - we were told it was a boy but hubby thinks its a girl - we see the vet on Friday for her first set of injections. She loves my threads - have to keep away from them - it will be 9 weeks old today.

Here is a piccy for all- sitting on top of my pattern :rotfl:

    Kind wishes to all

Been at my olds for the weekend and car died but nice RAC man has done a temporary repair on it so it should get me home tomorrow on awing and a prayer.

Too hot to do anything so been stitching a bit this afternoon and fairies nearly done now.

Some lovely pics on here - well done Bubbles especially.

Must have missed the posts about stash so don't really understand what people mean but am for for the cards thing and maybe the stash thing if I can understand it!
