Still no stitching here - have got a rainbow of threads spread out on kitchen worktops (on paper to keep them clean) and mid-cutting for all the lovely quilt stitchers.

Am never, ever going to complain about any kit that someone has put together again!

    bravo you!!!

    gosh!

Louise - blimey you are cracking on with the house!

well i'm waiting to see what happens with the Quilt Idea, hopefully the legal side will be resolved easily, so i'll put my 'I' square down as my June challenge.

Kezybabybabe - congrats for completing 3 of 4 UFOS! :T that bear is so cute!! i've heard back from my friend and her response was that she has an eraser and is willing to use it! also she could then use the colours she already has and/or make the outfit more personal to her niece! i'll pm you if that's ok?

Bubbles - i cant find a copy of that mag around here, so i think i'd probably just say to either just send the stitch/stash or send the same as what other people are having if that's easier! i want to be the least bother i can be!!

gosh, i feel like all i'm doing is asking/recieving :o... so i really hope someone requests something that i can find in my small stash of magazines/solatary book!!

    Morning all,

Feeling a bit better today after a good nights sleep, and the sunshone is helping too I think. Am really put off unpacking all the rest of our stuff though, if we're gonna have to pack it all up again!

No sign of my wedding sampler yet :( fingers crossed postie brings it this morning!

Hope you're feeling better today too funfairprincess, and that your tweeding is going well.

Congratulations nmm on finishing the lions, can't wait to see it :T

Dorastar I read the quilting idea thread yesterday, you all have done so much work on it, I really hope it works out and if you need a stand in stitcher I'm there!

    Morning (nearly afternoon) all!!

Have set myself back a little bit - my daughter was so desperate for me to stitch her picture that I did it...then after I had done the backstitching I decided I didn't like the hair colour so unpicked it all and redone it. The yellow to represent blonde hair seemed a little harsh once it was in place, it's much nicer now lol.

Next three weeks are going to be absolutely hectic for us - I don't think there is a single day where we don't have something planned, so won't be getting as much done, better get back to that afghan lol.

    :)

    Sharing time :rotfl:

QUESTION: Who have been the best and worst recipients you have stitched gifts for??

    For me:

BEST- My aunt has always been the best person to stitch for - she loves everything. She fell in love with a detailed christmas design I was intending to keep, and without saying anything I framed it for her christmas, she was over the moon. She kept it up all year until I gave her a set of 'seasons' pics the next christmas so she could alternate them all.:rotfl:

WORST - Someone in OH's family who shall remain nameless lol....I spent months on a large country companions hedgehog 'wishing well' design which I made into a cushion (we all know what a nightmare the tweeding is on those hedgehogs!) She did love it, but a few months later I caught sight of it and it was full of cigarette holes, from when she had been drinking and been careless with the cig ash. :(
