Morning all, and welcome to all the newbies. Lovely to see everyones work.

Ellie, that santa looks brilliant. Coming along nicely.

Maria, those lillies are stunning, I hated working on black but it really does pay off. Well done for having more patience than me!!!

I did a little bit more stitching yesterday, Kezia slept a bit better in the afternoon for once so I caught up with all the new CSI's from the night before and stitched away quite happily.

I'll try to figure out how to upload all my pics when I finish this last one but all the photos of them have been taken on my phone and I'm not sure how to get them onto the laptop. When I get chance I'll investigate a bit further but don't be holding your collective breaths for me to understand how it all works.

    Have a lovely day all,

Kerry, you're very diciplined to take a picture every day. it's lovely to be able to see your progress though.
Thanks Ellie, I found that my friends on FB are keeping an eye out on my progress, it's pretty easy for me to take a photo on my iPhone and upload it directly to FB, cos sometimes I forget to take it when I start the next days session. :o

    Hi Beth,

I love doing samplers for people. Having completed 3 now for various family and friends. I completed this one in 2008 for a friend's daughter's birth:
    http://www.sewandso.co.uk/cgi-bin/find/db.cgi?db=zoom&uid=&Prod_Code=55296&ww=on&do=search_results
    Here's my finished product:
    http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=1541238&l=4ce882834f&id=582306970

It does end up quite big though, however it was an absolute joy to stitch and back-stitch.

Here are some of my completed projects for you, as I didn't have time to post them this morning:

Right time to do some stitching while on my lunch break...

See you all later on. :D

am currently working on a vase of daffodils from a magazine which I’m about a quarter of the way through. I need this finished by the end of the month as it’s for MIL birthday (there’s nothing like a deadline to keep focused).
I certainly agree with you there about deadlines helping! ;) I had to stitch a couple in double quick time, even taking time off work to get them done.

Do any of you do your stitching out in the garden? I do when the weather is nice and warm, listen to a bit of music and away I go. :)
  • thank you for posting my link Laura :)

i love ya Tigger Pics Kerry, i wish i had the patience (and memory) to take a pic of my work every day so i can see how its progressing like that ... and i'd know how many days it had taken me :)

yep elliep most of them come from Crossstitcher magazine or world of cross stitch as they are the ones i subscribe too :) i have the gold baby first christmas in the frame in my wall ... and the other one i stitched for Laura's son Ben ... i loved both :)
Your father christmas is coming along great, i cant wait wait to see it finished

i take pictures of all my projects and i have them all in a photo album (the type with sticky pages) as i have sent so many to different people that i'd forget all i've done ... and some pics i luv so much i wanted to keep after i had finished :(
.... i only just realised the custion i did for the crossstitch round robbin isn't on there yet ... the pic is but not the finished cushion (which i was lucky enough to get at the end of it) ... might scan onto my pics too the actual page from the magazines as that will add to my cross stitch achievements.....

kezbradley - my daughter is 3 in April and i still never got her birth sampler finished ... or a new one started , the 1st one i started was on 16count aida and i made a mistake on a bit that should have had nothing on it) so when i took out the stitches it left big holes and looked really bad so i binned it ..... and i never started a second one.... and as my sistetr had done her a Popcorn Bear one i decided not to do one... unless i run out of other projects :)

harley1 - getting pics from phone to comp you need either a lead to connect the 2 or a bluetooth dongle (as long as you have bluetooth on your phone ) ....it took me a while to work out how to do it on my phone but once i worked it out it was easy ... but i can still only do one pic at a time ... i could insert my memory card into a bigger memory thing that slots into the pc but i cant find the bit at the moment lol :)

Time off work? There's dedication for you!
I have stitched in the garden before. Get the little table out, large glass of chilled iced tea and my ipod....doesn't summer seem a million months away? Still, stitching inside in the warm, with a hot chocolate, watching the snow fall is also good!

I think it is safe to say that my x-stitching MOJO has come back ...I just don't want to put it down :p
Ellie -Im loving santa ...I "might" get my copy done in time for this year..but I won't count on it ;)

Maria -those lillies are lovely, I like working on dark fabric

Kez- I get my heaven and earth charts online from a company called "sew-along" -I looked, but they don't have the one you are after listed -BUT the couple who run it are great, so it would be worth e-mailing them and seeing if they can get it you in...
Its great to see so many people joining in..
Right -off to se which chunk of pattern to start on next -
    Happy stitching everyone :T
