no I was just being good
you should be able to link it to the pics on facebook if they are "everybody" setting. otherwise you'll have to put them on photobucket. then click the picture icon and use the 'direct link' from photobucket.
i got most of the 2nd attempt at mums bookmark border done yesterday as the aida kept fraying intil it hit the stitchng so i couldn't do it even tho I'd left a couple of squares on the 1st one.:mad:loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -
Morning all
Keiss -the lady (and her hubby) from sew-along is lovely and really helpful too :T....
When my chart arrived I thought "ooooohh I have a lot of colours -so I might not need that many" -WRONG :rotfl:why is it, that no matter how many threads you have-they are rarely the ones you want-I sorted out the next 3 charts I was planning on doing and ended up ordering about 250 skeins
..... this site are now doing 200 skeins for £56 -and that is since the prices went up .....still a great bargain:D

Ruth_Honey -Im just trying to save you from yourself:rotfl:-not sure who is going to save me from ME ... which is why I am NOT allowing myself on the sew along site ..all those heaven and earth designs
I have another day of x-stitching planned..... like you keiss -my plan was to sew during the day and then knit/crochet in the evening... but at the moment I can't make myself put the sewing down
Anyway -off to make a cuppa and then Im going to settle on the sofa with my sewing :j
Have a great day and hope everyone gets chance to do at least a few stitches:D-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50 -
Ladies, WHAT HAVE YOU DONE???
You've introduced me to those gorgeous H&E designs and now I can't seem to talk myself out of wanting loads. They would look so right in my house and look like great fun (and challenging) to stitch.
But I've still got loads to do, including 9 (yes NINE) animal charts that I bought this time last year from celticroseneedlecraft. Only done about 2" square of this before I started on the Simply Heritage animals and then seriously lost my Mojo when pregnant. Now I just don't have the time I used to.
Despite my complaints, keep showing me new things, as I love it really. Just wish I had the money and time to do it all.
Happy stitching everyone.

Well overnight we had a foot of snow so it looks like a day is cross stitching - I am taking photos all the time I promise but as my phone only links up with windows vista and I have windows 7 I have a slight problem but hopefully will in the mean time find my camera or start uploading onto OH laptop! Stitching is coming along and cannot wait to finish this one so I can buy along Cut thru!
Have a good day everyone

Hello everyone, can I join you please? I’m humbled by the work you all do, I’ve been cross stitching for quite a few years but only kits (mostly Winnie the Pooh!) I finally did my first non-kit stitch last year and am currently working on a vase of daffodils from a magazine which I’m about a quarter of the way through. I need this finished by the end of the month as it’s for MIL birthday (there’s nothing like a deadline to keep focused). When I sort out photobucket or something similar I will post a picture.
I do have a question though. What’s the best way to mount a picture? I’ve forced a few into fames by wrapping them round the glass part but they were only for my children and don’t look great. I can’t believe there’s not a better way.
TIA

I'm very very excited because I've just started knitting level 1 at adult education class. It was meant to be learn to knit, but it turned out the whole class (all 3 of us lol!) could knit in that we'd done it years ago. So now we're going to get a certificate as one of the other ladies is combining this with literacy and numeracy and apparently that secures government funding for our knitting.
So I came home from class and finally felt inspired enough to get on with one of those bookmarks. And figured out where I'd gone wrong (already!). And I've fixed it now
Hi Judellie
I'm sorry I don't remember the name. I'm much better at faces. But gosh its a small world isn't it?!0 -
lillies all finished now, im really pleased with them, if anybody wants the pattern let me know and i can post to you, the only thing is it is a chinnesse kit and there is no way of telling the numbers of the colours but i do have a little of each colour i can send so you can match up

Maria, thats is so striking on the black fabric, just beautiful
I noticed the same with my chinese kit the colours don't say what dmc/anchor colour they should be, so its rather annoying if you ran out by mistake.
ASC, welcome :j when i've framed the few pieces i've done, i just mounted them on a thick peice of card and secured it with corset stitching (zigzag style) across the back then shoved it in the frame :rotfl: Since joining this thread i've seen how professionals mount them and it puts my effort to shame.Cross Stitch Cafe Member No1WIP: Cross Stitch: - Crochet:0
