:o Bubbles, please can you change my May project. I'm so thick, it's for my stepfather not my father in law. DH just corrected me for getting it wrong yet again! I'm always getting in law and step mixed up, either way my mum's hubby is getting a bookmark! :rotfl:

Thanks for the comments about the bears, I'm so pleased with how they've turned out. I can't believe how easy the french knots were after watching you tube. I'm not going to let them beat me anymore!!!
:xmastree:What a splendid idea, this Christmas sounds fun. I fully endorse it, let's try it at once!:xmastree:

Oooo I better update my signture in that case. :o

Progress: Getting there, most of the back-stitch is complete, so I should be able to finish it before Friday, though I've got a busy week ahead of me.

Congratulations to all those that have finished their challenges with a few days to go, at least you've got a head start on your May challenges.:rotfl:

    Evening folks,

Hope all is well with you and yours! Big hugs to those in pain or in difficult places.

I will post my update tomorrow (the end is in sight), but have a couple of requests for people in the meantime.

I have decided, after much thought and reading everyone's comments, that I will finish the zebra UFO, but at my own pace as and when I can cope with it.

Bubbles - please can you put me down for the May challenge as "making visible progress on the zebra, with a view to finishing it for the end of August". That will give me four months to complete it, which should not be too stressful.

Sweetcarer - on taking a closer look at the zebra, it is distinctly grubby with some rust marks and definitely in need of a good wash! Please can you save me from hunting back through hundred plus pages of thread and let me know what you did to your gorgeous floral alphabet after you rescued it from the shed to bring it back to a stitchable state?

Everyone's stitching is looking really good, so onwards and upwards to Friday night and the end of the month!

    All the best,
    Ro

Is going to be a very busy week - have got mega loads to do at/for work and got to get these fairies as well.

Plan is to stay up stupid late to get everything done and then collapse over the long weekend lol! Dh is away all bank holiday weekend so need to chill with the kids while he is away anyway so will be taking it easy while I'm on my own with them.

May target is to get fairies framed and up on dd's wall, then to finish flower vase for m-i-l's birthday and get it framed. Then to get Fillmore done for ds.

It's been quite quiet on here last night and this morning,, I can only assume everyone is stitching frantically trying to complete their challenges by Friday!!

I'm even finding myself arranging things round my stitching to get my fairy finished :o

Have to give hubby a mention cos he has been brilliant - I was working yesterday and when I got in he had started the ironing for me!!! He had got halfway through the pile and had even been ironing pyjames, which I never do :rotfl:His reason - So I could sit and relax after dinner and get on with my stitching

    I knew I married him for a reason:D:rotfl::T
