  • Bubbles could you add me to the May Challenge List. I'm not going to set a huge target as in May I need to start crocheting baby things, and i have 3 mosaic coasters to make for Fathers day (i'm forever stitching for my nana and my grandad gets noting so i found some blokey costers). So my May targey will be to get the Lowery canvas finished minus all the backstitching.

My mam's just done something similar to Shelly, i photocopied her chart for her to use (as the one it came with was glossy) and she taped the 4 A4 pages together and instead of using the real centre mark on the chart she used the join in the 2 pages. She only realised this after stitching half of the Noah's Arc she what she'd done wrong. Luckily she can just fit in all the animals, but will have to miss off some of the sea on that side. Ive no idea how she will frame it though as its far to near the edge to look neat in a frame.

Everyones updates are looking great. I still cant find my camera lead so i cant update, but I havent touched my Lowery for a few days. Ive spent more time doing crocheting- im making a marshmallow bunny right now. When washing my nanas elleit the elephant to frame it (i will post a pic when i find the lead) I found two other cross stitches that need hand washed. One had chocolate smudges on it and the other was all dirty where i'd be holding it- you could see the ring of the frame. Hand washing wouldnt clean either of these off but i put some Vanish stuff on and it cleaned the one with hand marks, however didnt take out the chocolate.

Anyone got any idea's on removing chocolate from aida? It luckily it shouldnt matter as its nearish the edge.

Oh and you guys thinking up this quilt thing is great, ive asked to join over on the thread. I was just behind as i hadn't checked out the thread for a couple of days.

Thanks Bubbles, I am officially number 4. I like that seen as my birthday is in April. 4 is kind of my lucky number.

Congratulations Ginnyknit, and happy birthday to Micheal.:bdaycake:

Right, I am on here because I am extremely over excited. I have finished the polar bears :j:j:j:j:j:j. Please can I have a little party Bubbles :) April challenge is complete

I want to say a big big thank you to everyone on here. Without the challenge and the motivation, I would never have finished it. I even managed to do the french knots (a big thanks to whoever suggested watching the video on youtube. It helped a lot!).

Congratulations, if you look above you have your party!! I showed my parents your polar bears and they really liked them. I think you need a  for doing the french knots too!!

I hope you dont mind but I have changed your number to 21. It seemed stupid for 23rd spiral to be no 21 so I sawpped them around!

I was in Spain when the last hp was out and everywhere had sold out of English versions - we drove 2 hours to get it and I cried my eyes out when a certain someone died - dont want to reveal who incase anyone is waiting for the film but he had such personality, dreading it at the cinema, I will be in floods!

Forgot to say earlier, thanks eveyone for your comments on the angel. Im still not sure about the colour, my mum says it looks like its silk and its the light reflecting it but Im not sure I know there is a line of 4 white stitches which looks odd so I am going to sew over them. I will post photos of where it stands tomorrow as cant be bothered to get the camera from upstairs!

Chickywiggle you still have another week so no need to rush just yet.
