    Hello Gang

Here is the update for week 6 of Golden Earth.

    Week6.jpg

Bubbles - your fairy looks amazing - you have worked like a wee demon on it.

Keiss - hope your foot gets better soon, nothing worse as you are on your feet all the time.

Emzy - way the go girl, the big quilt is going to be brilliant - will be a wee break from golden earth.

Shelly - at least you discovered the error now and not later.

Harley - nice to hear your an Auntie - lots of stitching to do.

Thanks to all for your kind wishes, it means a lot. Just now to wait what the appeal says.

Might do a wee bit more stitching before hubby wakes up and before we go to the shops.

    Kind wishes to all

    sweetcarer ;)

PS Just had an idea for a charity - what about one that stitchlinks (need to check if it needs funds) - the one that encourages stitching to help with depression.

While we are on the subject of stitching for those in need, has anyone seen this site before?

    http://www.lovequiltsuk.com/

You stitch a square, send it off, someone adds it to a quilt and along with lots of others on the same theme it goes on a quilt to a sick child.

My April challenge of finishing Calendar Bears was a bit silly, so I will make that my May challenge, and still post how far I have got on Friday.

Have a good weekend all x

Sorry nmm, i forgot to say! it's Lucie Heaton's Japanese Kokeshi Doll "love & devotion", cover kit from March's Crossstitcher. I really like Kokeshi and Russian Dolls, but don't own any, so thought this would be just as good :)
    .

I don't suppose anyone has a copy of this kit - I'd be more than happy to pay magazine price plus p&p.

I have a friend who bought me something very similar for my birthday last year (but the actual doll) and I know she'd be chuffed to bits to get a card with this on this year.

  • I have this kit which I would be happy to send to you with the chart as I will not use it. PM your address and I'll pop it in the post on Monday.

Thank you so much PP, I don't have much time to do much stitchery myself so stick to the small projects (am doing a christening card at the moment which is not going too well ) but I love seeing everyone else's larger projects coming together :).

  • Hi all

Witchywoopiggy drop me your address and I'll nudge you ! I visited the leaky and have talked my Auntie into knitting some of Mrs Weasleys jumpers for the weans:T

Loving all the updates everyone is doing brilliantly!

My OH bought me a box of choccies so I have scoffed them and the box is now being used to store some of my threads:j

I have decided my May challenge will be to finish the afghan from hell and then start my bowling kit for my Uncle.

I have done very little stitching and it's only 6 days to go I'd better get going 0002048A.gif
