ohh glad people are up for the quilt..... thanks for the original idea Emzy I don't want to take all the credit.

Right am off to start a thread to see if we can get people from all groups together....... will post a link..........

Please help me out over there tho with the running of it - as a full time working mum I realllly don't have the time to do the organising - but will help as much as I can.
If you want to be 'in charge' etc then PLEASE drop me a message or post on the thread and I can make it clear in the 1st post to contact you.

Anyone good at blogging who could set up an 'off forum' group if required (I don't know the MSE rules around this sort of thing).

LINKY to the great quilt idea

Fab idea everyone - I'm up for it too. Have been to art 'club' at church tonight (fab lighting and they bring you a cuppa and a biccy :)) Had to do a 'talk' about my 'art' so took loads of pics and UFOs down. They were really amazed and have 2 ladies who want to have a go at something next time. Am getting there slowly with the fairies.

Bubbles - is the stitch and knit show tomorrow that you so kindly sent me the tickets for - am very over excited and dh has agreed a little budget for me woohoo

LOL I like how you have your prorities...good lighting comes before a cuppa and a biccy :rotfl::rotfl:

I don't know of any arty/craft type groups in my area. Tbh I don't even have any pics of my work on fb or anything cos the people I work with (mainly blokes) would seriously take the mick out of me :o That's why I keep it all on my blog lol.

I'd love to find a group. Maybe I should start my own :rotfl::rotfl:

Is truly fab lighting - can tell the differences between shades of off-white under it!

Is a church art fellowship and I am about 30 years younger than most of the people there - is kind of nice cos they all look after me and ask questions to show they're interested in me being there. And they do make me cuppas and bring me biccies too (without me having to nag them - like at home) while I just sit and stitch. What a sad way for a yong whippersnapper like myself to spend a Friday night:rotfl:

Love the idea of the x-stitch squares and have subscribed to the thread...yet another one!

Not done any stitching today, been out and about all day. Then as I was getting tea started, a bit of spare wooden worktop fell and crushed my foot and toes...:eek: I think the whole village heard me scream!! :(

I don't think there is anything broken, but I already have a black big toe-nail and bruises coming up on the other toes. Am sitting here with my foot up as the pain when I have it lowered is excruciating.

I will post piccies of the bookmark I have been making this week (nearly done). Then it's back to The Astronomer, who has been sadly neglected lately (I will be lucky if I can get this first page finished!!). Mind you, I may have "no choice" but to sew
as I can hardly manage much more at the moment!! :) I wonder how many days I will only be able to stitch!! Luckily not due to go into work until May 1st, so stitching here I come! Finding a comfortable position will be a challenge though. :o

Off to bed now, as shattered.

    Night, night.

Good morning stitchers! :D It's the weekend finally and I'm hoping that I can make a good headway with the back stitching. (Fingers Crossed).

Right I know what my May Challenge is going to be...

I will complete the UFOs on this picture, with the Best Friends Cushion being last, should I not complete it in time, this will become my June Challenge. ;)
(*Louise* - the thread has arrived, thank you hunny!)
