Martin could then auction it for charity????
(ok it needs a bit more work and co-ordination but you get the idea)
Sounds fantastic!!! absolutely perfect
Also.... maybe a patch sewn on the back with the names of everyone who contributed to the making of it??0 -

Are there any designers of smallish designs that people like? I like Margaret Sherry but I don't really know of any others so some more experienced people might have a better idea?0 -
Oh btw...my fairy has a face!!:j
No hair and only half an ear mind you...but she has a face :rotfl:
It's quite delicate looking, I do like it. Tons of sky left to do though

I quite like her 'Cattitudes range' (although it has that awkward backstitch)
...and I happen to have the Calendar with 12 designs in it *nudge nudge wink wink* plus some cattitude hobby designs, so nearly 20 pics I think.
Or what about general themes..'animals' 'the sea' 'fairies' etc, which could cover a lot?Cross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219. Yeah thats the range I like, just thinking about starting the 'crafty cat' one.
20 pics sounds good too...we'd have to see how many people want to do it and also if they want to do the back stitch.
general themes sound good too....would just have to try and find ones that kind of match if you get what I mean....just so they don't look out of place.0 -
Hiah, count me in for the charity event! But you'll have to have a bit of patience with me. I'm not as good as all you professional super stitchers lol. I also mostly do kits so I'm a bit limited as to what materials I have to hand. I know I've got a little 18 count aida but I'll try and match in with what everyone else chooses to do.
I think it's a beautiful idea.:xmastree:What a splendid idea, this Christmas sounds fun. I fully endorse it, let's try it at once!:xmastree:0 -
Congratulations Harley! I cant have my own kids but becoming an aunt was just as exciting. Unfortunatly the oldest is now 23 and the youngest 11 so we have the baby stage past us, unless my niece decides otherwise. I became an aunt for the first time when I was 7. I have a really close relationship with my niece who is 16, we are more like sisters. I am actually jealouse that your gonna get to smell that new baby smell!A round robin thing where we pick a design and each have a section to do on it and we post it around to each other once we've each finished our section on it. So the finished piece will be a collection of all of work?? No idea what we'd do with the finished piece though
Right im determined to keep up with this thread now (or try :rotfl:)
Im off to try and find a 'new job' design for a card
I thought of this a few days ago as I had never heard of a round robin until it mentioned in a magazine that a design was perfect for so googled it and thought it would be a good idea for here but couldnt figure out what we would do with the finished product. I guess we could maybe pick a child on post pals and pick a theme they like and send it to them. r maybe donate it to a hospice so lots of kids get to use it?Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member No 2 :j
