Morning Ladies, gosh you lot can natter, it’s taken me ages to catch up on what I’d missed! Only 8 days to go  aaargh will I get it done in time, I need a kick up the bum cos I haven’t done any stitching since weekend. You all have permission to shout at me.
Sorry if I’ve missed anyone out, I’m at work and all the images are blocked. It’s hard to try and remember who is doing which picture!!!
Mountainash – I agree with everyone else. As hard as it is, I think you should get some closure and finish the Zebras. Perhaps once it’s done you will be able to remember how she was before she became poorly. It’s such a lovely picture, it would be a real shame not to finish when you’ve got this far. We’ll all cheer you on and get you through it.
23rdSpiral – Wow, Jenson’s personal waitress, really??? My DS adores all things Mclaren and is completely made up now Button is driving for them. Bet that was a cool job, I enter all the grand prix competitions on MSE in the hope that one day he will get to meet one of the drivers. Though knowing my luck, he’d win the chance to meet Ferrari and he’d hate that LOL.
Thrifty – Best wishes to OH, hope he’s ok after his fall, and best wishes to you, hope you are OK after the French Knots. I HATE them!!! You have my pity.
Sorry for being a bit thick, but am at work and all images are blocked. I can’t trace back to who was doing the calendar bears, but just wanted to say well done they are looking Fab. I like Halloweeny bear, he is very cute!
Dorastar – That is funny :rotfl:, chocs and flowers wouldn’t work here either, with only 8 days to go, the April challenge must come first LOL.
Ruth_Honey – Thanks, I’ll have a nosy at that site when I get home, the words ‘Free P+P’ usually work for me!
Bubbles – Big hugs, hope you feel better soon xxx
Louise – Disband . . . . . NEVER!!! Housework can always wait, the dust only comes back, might as well let it get a little thicker before we move it
Kezbabybabe – Loving Winnie the Pooh! Keep up the good work.
So are we continuing the challenges into May??? If so I’d better get my thinking cap on, so many options, I need to pick one I really want to do.
Oh yes, I’m getting ever more freaked out by this stitching family. It can’t be coincidence that we are all so similar, we must all have been destined to be friends J. First the stitching, then the yankee candles, FB, and now the obsessive list writing. (*Holds hand up*) yes I confess it affects me too! I drive DH mad when we are going on holiday! I just loooove writing lists:xmastree:What a splendid idea, this Christmas sounds fun. I fully endorse it, let's try it at once!:xmastree:0 -
Afternoon everyone,
I'm loving the sunshine and also everyone's current projects.
I was naughty and purchased a cross stitch magazine at lunchtime, only because it had an AOYD charge in it. And as some of you may know I did the Holiday Train and As Far As We Go.
I really want to do some cross stitch but at the moment my studying is taking up all my free time.
I've even started to buy some magazines for my future mother-in-laws Christmas hamper!

Hi Simac, long time no see! Just for you and Kezybabybabe - if the others don't mind some off topic 'gosip'? (i dont think it really is gossip, more like history, as it was quite a while ago) ... I did really enjoy working at Silverstone. I did silver service so worked in the BRDC clubhouse a lot for events and private hires and each season got assigned to a 'company box' so the client got stability during their track sessions and races. Jeson Button was very young and sweet and I'll always remember his dad as a supportive and kind person - the champaigne he gave me on one of Jensons wins helped a bit!!:T
I met some minor royalty, politicians, and the F1 bloke with the big chin who was very nice and funny, and worked the box of a lovely lady and a bored kid who later turned out to be the family of a foreign F1 driver whose name i forget. The one person who really disapointed me was Jeremy Clarkson - he was rude and dismissive of the staff and very ignorant. He liked being the centre of attention and had such long legs it was often impossible to clear plates around him. One time he was leaning against the counter and literally boxed me into the kitchenette i couldnt get out! I kept saying 'excuse me please' very politely, but as a slightly star struck 17yr old i didnt have much oomph! In the end the other bloke from the old Top Gear told Jeremy to "move it and let the young lady out"!:rotfl:
Sorry everyone else for hijacking the thread! I've just had the new Estate Agent round so officially have NO cleaning, NO tidying or even real cooking to do this evening, and with OH at the gym till 9.30, I WILL crack that Chicken!!Relax, Breathe, Love 2014 Challenges:Cross Stitch Cafe Challenger 23. it is rather odd isn't it? and i'm gonna have to hold my hand up too and say "me to with the lists" - though they are totally needed as i'm quite forgetful and so very easily distracted!!:o oh, and i found a second Yankee Candle in my living room
- cant recall its real name but its something like 'spiced red winter apple' - very yummy.

fabulous! so aplicable to me even though i'm just starting out! (we wont talk about my fabric stash, ok? wouldn't want my OH finding out how big it really is!)
it's a shame i can't really justify a mag next month, unless there is lots of good things in it? i've bought 4 second hand ones this month so thought i'd used my pennies wisely? humm.Relax, Breathe, Love 2014 Challenges:Cross Stitch Cafe Challenger 23. hi everyone, feeling a little more me today but still havent made it out, maybe tomorrow. Managed to get a bit stitching done so should have my challenge completed today or tomorrow, I cant believe how quick it has been done, its only 3 weeks and a few days since I started it. Not looking forward to the flowered border. Anyway now for replys to everyone:witchwoopiggy wrote: »a week till the end of the month :eek::eek: no hope in finishing wolves, well it does not help that all the same colours have got me fed up with it, sooo as it is a christmas prezzy im now aiming to finish it by then lol and i have started a colourfull project for me
and i will take wolves out with me and do my colourfull 'hogwarts crest' indoors
hope thats ok bubbles
I have changed the challenge list for you. Like the idea of a hogwarts crest being a hp fan myself.
Wow Linda they are stunning! Cant even decide which I like best. Using beads instead of french knots was a good idea and I might do the same in future. Im looking forward to seeing your peacock - I have often been tempted with stitching one but never found a pattern which truly shows how amazing the colours are so am keen to see yours in progress.
Looks like these challenges are going to become a monthly and yearly thing! I think when I feel able I will give us all numbers to make it feel a bit more organised. you see I am yet another lists person! Hence the fact I offered to make the challenge into one! When I worked I created a spreadsheet with a list of all invoices raised for my department but I couldnt just have one spreadsheet, there was one organised by file number, one by client name and one by date. Then there was the total page and the total for the year to date, then I created an invoice folder so you could compare month to month invoicing and previous years. Basically my department was highly organised to the extent where people wanted to kill me!!!Ruth_honey wrote: »
Awww...love hedgehogs, and well done for looking after him. That's a lovely thing to do. We saw a hedgehog for the first time in ages a few weeks ago. Took a different route home from the tube station & he was on someone's doorstep-then saw us and ran...(they can really shift, can't they???
This reminded me of a story that I thought might make you laugh. Years ago when I was like 15 me and a friend from school went on a organised coach trip to see Take That in Manchester and my brother picked me up from Newcastle station. I live near a gravyard so we have loads of bats, hedgehogs and even a few owls. Anyway he picked me a about 3am and left his pjs on and my friend up and just as we were about to go into my back lane I spotted a hedgehog we were about to run over! I screamed stop and my brother slammed the breaks on. He nearly killed me when I told him there was a hedgehog, he actually tried to start his engine again and drive on but I dragged the steering wheel and said dont you dare. He really lost it and said what am I supposed to do? I said get it to move, so my brother got out of the car and is going shoo, shoo to this hedgehog in his pyjamas in the middle of the road when his friend who lived opposite and had been having a party opened the door! He said I had demanded he couldnt drive until it was safe but I denied it and said it was all him and ever since then all of his mates have taken the mick out of him!
Sweetcarer I hope your husbands appeal goes ok, it seems really stupid to be honest.
I've decided I am going to have to start giving you all a false name and address as with the way these challenges are going your husbands might chip in for a hit man to get rid of my challenges effecting their husband privelages!
Kez Baby your really doing well with whinnie the pooh and friends. I think the picture was just the right size for you to see the detail on it.
Shelly/Ruth my aunt did it recently for 2 weeks and was demented as she never got to do any case at all and she is a non stitcher. You can find out sentancing I think in the public records. I would want to know too!
Emzy thats lovely of you to take in a rescue hedgehog, I quite like the idea so might see if there is any in my area. I looked after a frog with a broken leg a few months ago, my dog loved it- he used to go and kiss it every now and then!Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member No 2 :j
