There has been so many posts since last night Im gonna have to reply in 2 as my memory is crap and multiquote needs extending. Apologises if I miss anyone.Ruth_honey wrote: »It's funny that you don't even realise that you've got a mental image of what someone looks like until you see their photo. I pictured *Louise* as a brunette until I saw a pic recently.
You are so right about having a picture of someone in your head. I know when I worked I constantly talked to someone on the phone who did sub consultanting for us and she was really, really scatty and the things she came out with made me think of Pheobe from friends! When I met her I expected Pheobe and she was so far from that it was unbelievable!Kez you have some lovely kits therethink you should start with the bookmark (which i love where did you get it?) as that only has a bit left to do on it. the tatty teddy one looks lovely but i have heard the back stitching on those is a pig to do lol so good luck, oh and no i don't have that thread sorry, only have a pearly metallic one
I second the vote for the bookmark, it is lovely.spottybutterfly wrote: »
Bubbles at school I used to listen to Metro every night, is Alan still there, he's the best talk show host i've ever listened to. Your cracking on with your angel.
Yay another night owl! Yeah Alan is still there he is a legend, I have always listened to it as my radio has a sleep button so I would listen to it until I driefted off but as I dont have to get up eary anymore and was up late stitching I have got addicted to staying up to 2am to hear it all. Its on 6 days a week now. I have never had the guts to phone or email in though.
Mountainash I can understand your feelings about stitching Zebra but I do think having it stuck at the bottom of your stash and always being aware of it is probably doing more harm than good. If you dont feel yu can do it maybe ask someone you care about to do it on your behalf.
I was shocked at the change in some of the HEAD designs, I would be gutted to stitch some of them. Dont know how they havent had complaints.
Right off to read another page .... On second thought gonna have to leave it there, due meds and night owls starts in 15 minurwaCross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member No 2 :j

Just popping to say hello. Too tired to concentrate on the posts, so will take netbook to court with me tomorrow & hopefully catch up there (assuming they have free wifi-I'm certainly not paying for it!). Still no case today, but I did take my stitching and did some of that. The paps were camped outside the court again today-desperate for a photo of Z-list 'celeb' Jack Tweed. What a boring job! Anyway, night all. Will look at your pics & messages when I've got some sleep...zzzz...Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

Hey Kezbaby, my OH is all disapointed about not being able to go to the BTC this weekend too. (though i can't remember why he's not going). I've done a bit of work at Rockingham too, it's a really nice stadium, and grew up with the Silverstone testing sounds ringing in my ears! Sorry, i'll stop there before i start to name drop anymore!!:D

awe crafty granny, i'm saddend that you dont like it. it is very pretty but i can see why all those blues would be a bit much. the flowers round the edge would make a nice frame for something though.Relax, Breathe, Love 2014 Challenges:Cross Stitch Cafe Challenger 23. Hi everyone not much progress on the lavender fairy I'm afraid so don't think it will be finished by next Friday. Too many french knots and not enough time at night due to lots of marking! Also hubby had a fall off his bike at the weekend so hasn't been helping with kids or housework at all so have had to do that i'm afraid. He is ok thank goodness but it has made me realise how much he usually does around the house.Cross Stitch Challenge Member ?Number 2013 challenge = to complete rest of millenium sampler.0

I've just finished two small items (5" x 7") that I started a couple of months ago. I used beads instead of french knots for the edge of the sunflower's brown centre, but they don't really show in the pic. I'm doing a 5 x 7 peacock now, which I'll add to Bubbles' May target list.

oooh, I like them, erics mum. Very pretty and lovely and neat.
Have jst realised challenge ends next week, really must pull my finger out. Dad has loaned me a fork until tomorrow to dig over the garden with (yep a whole 24 hours to fit it in). Not much concept of how much effort is required running a house and raising a 6month old, bless him. Just keeps saying I should "make time". Anyone got any ideas how to get a day to stretch to 72 hours? lol
Anyway, still only the feet and back stitch to go. Half of one foot is done too so I am getting there. Kezia is asleep at the moment but as soon as she wakes I'll go and start digging then hope the fresh air wears her out so that I can stitch more of her vest tonight. New baby is due in 2 days so really must get a wriggle on!!!
Hope all are well and enjoying lots of stitching in the sunshine
