  • 00020403.gif Hope you are all doing OK today. It's lovely here today again and I'm feeling so much better as far as my depression goes. I have even been managing out into the garden for hours at a time so I'm quite pleased with myself.

Just nipping in to say 00020334.gif to 0002049C.gif 00020498.gif 000204A2.gif 000204A3.gif 000204A8.gif 00020491.gif 0002049B.gif 000204A4.gif 00020494.gif my packets arrived today and I've only had a quick flick through but I'm desperate to get started.

It was a fab weekend - particularly as my local team, Ross County, beat Celtic to go through to the final of the Active Nation Scottish Cup.

If anyone wants adding to the challange list or to amend their challenge pm me. I was wondering if maybe we should give ourselves challange numbers to put in put in our sigs so more people find out about the thread like "cross stitch cafe challange member 4". What do you think?

    Happy stitching!

Great idea! Does this mean then we will set a challenge every month?

MrsMacawber your lady is coming on brilliantly. Well done to your husband on the win.:T I'd buy threads or stitchy stuff too !

Can I just ask have the people who were expecting mail from me got it yet?

I'm off to stick my head into the flylady thread and see what torture is on for today :rotfl:

    Happy stitching everyone !

Bubbles, can you edit my challenge to just complete the lions by the end of the month  I failed miserably on my mini challenge :rotfl: Hmm, my next project is going to be something simple and small like a Tatty Ted or something. QUOTE]

Are you kidding??? Tatty Teddy kits are a royal pain in the you-know-what to stitch! They look good when finished, but all the shades of grey and the stupid backstitching to make him look fluffy...well, let's just say I still have some TT kits in my stash, but I'm in no hurry to start one for a while. :D

    Hello all,

loving all the pics :) Sorry Ihaven't been on for a while: the baby has been keeping me busy! However, I have managed to get going on her nursery picture, so here is where I was at the start of last week:

I don't mind back stitching and grey would be a nice change from brown, lol. My Country Companions kit had loads of back stitching all the flowers, bricks, bench, etc. I may do another CC one after a Tatty Ted one :)

Reading back, I see a lot of you were talking about afghans: I made one for my niece a couple of years ago, and it was definately the largest thing I've ever made! It took 9 months to complete:

well, i've procrastinated on figuring out how to get the motto into the right size of aieda. then remembered someone posting a link to an alphabet chart thingy. but i cant find it :(. can anyone re-post the link please? once figured out it should be fairly simple to stitch, so perhaps i'll be brave/silly and join the challenge!

    Hope these help....
